Magic Truffles

What Are Magic Truffles?
Magic truffles are the underground sclerotia of psilocybin-producing fungi — compact mycelial growths containing psilocybin and psilocin, which act on serotonin 5-HT2A receptors to alter perception, emotion, and cognition. According to Hasler et al. (2004), effects begin 30–60 minutes after oral ingestion and last 4–6 hours. They are biologically distinct from mushroom fruiting bodies but contain the same active compounds.
