Why You Need Vapman Concentrate Screens

The Vapman's 18-karat gold-plated copper bowl is built for dry herb. It heats beautifully, distributes temperature evenly across the load, and extracts flavour like almost nothing else in this price range. But drop a piece of sticky wax directly onto that bowl and you've got a mess — concentrate melts through the standard screen, pools at the bottom, and half of it never vaporises properly. You end up with wasted material and a bowl that's a nightmare to clean.

That's the problem these concentrate screens solve. The mesh is wound far tighter than the standard Vapman screen, so even the gooiest shatter or the oiliest rosin stays put while the bowl heats it from below. The concentrate melts, spreads across the mesh, and vaporises completely instead of dripping away. We've seen customers go from losing a third of their concentrate to getting full, flavourful draws every time — just by swapping the screen.

The other reason to grab these: microdosing. The tight weave means you can load as little as 0.001 g of concentrate or dry herb and still get a consistent draw. One honest note

These screens are small and fiddly. If you've got big fingers, tweezers help when fitting them into the bowl. They're not fragile — the mesh holds up well — but they are tiny by nature because the Vapman bowl itself is compact. Take your time the first time you install one.

How to Use Your Vapman Concentrate Screens

1. Remove the standard screen from your Vapman's bowl. A pair of tweezers or a small tool makes this easier.
2. Drop the concentrate screen into the bowl. It's custom-shaped to the Vapman's wok-style chamber, so it should sit flush without forcing.
3. Load your concentrate onto the centre of the screen. For hash or crumbly concentrates, a rice-grain-sized piece works well. For wax, budder, or shatter, use a dab tool to place a small amount — as little as 0.001 g if you're microdosing.
4. Cap the Vapman and heat the bowl with a jet lighter as normal. Apply heat for roughly 3 seconds, then draw slowly. The concentrate will melt into the mesh and vaporise evenly.
5. After your session, let the screen cool completely. Clean it by soaking in isopropyl alcohol (90%+) for 10–15 minutes, then rinse and air-dry before reuse.

Vapman Concentrate Screens vs. Standard Vapman Screens

The standard screen that ships with every Vapman is designed for ground dry herb. It works brilliantly for that — open mesh, good airflow, easy to clean. But the gaps in the weave are too wide for concentrates. Anything sticky just melts straight through.

Neither screen is better in absolute terms — they're built for different materials. We'd keep both on hand and swap depending on what you're loading. Takes about 10 seconds once you've done it a few times.
