Tightvac Stashbox — Vacuum-Sealed Storage That Actually Works

The Tightvac stashbox is a vacuum-sealed storage container that keeps herbs, tea, coffee, and other aromatic goods fresh and completely odour-free. Unlike a standard jar or ziplock bag, the Tightvac uses a patented push-down vacuum lid that forces air out every time you close it — no pumps, no fiddling, just press and done. Available in three sizes (0.57L, 1.3L, and 3.8L), there's a Tightvac for your pocket stash and one for your entire collection.

Vacuum-sealed freshness Odour-proof BPA-free plastic 3 sizes: 0.57L / 1.3L / 3.8L No pump needed

Which Size Tightvac Do You Need?

Size SKU Approximate Herb Capacity Best For
0.57L HS0231 15–40g depending on density Daily carry, travel, desk drawer stash
1.3L HS0232 40–100g depending on density Weekly supply, kitchen counter tea or coffee storage
3.8L HS0233 100–300g depending on density Bulk storage, long-term freshness, multiple strains

The 0.57L is the one that fits into a backpack or large jacket pocket. If you're storing loose-leaf tea or coffee alongside your herbs, the 1.3L hits a sweet spot — big enough to be useful, small enough to tuck into a cupboard. The 3.8L is proper bulk territory; we'd pick that one if you buy in larger quantities and want to avoid opening and resealing constantly.

Complete your storage setup: pair the Tightvac stashbox with a Boveda 62% humidity pack to keep herbs at the ideal moisture level inside the sealed container. If you're after something pocket-sized for a single session's worth, check out the Tightvac MiniVac — it holds around 10–30g and slips into a coat pocket.

Why You Need a Proper Stashbox

Here's the thing about herbs, loose-leaf tea, and ground coffee: the moment air gets to them, they start losing potency, flavour, and aroma. Terpenes evaporate. Moisture creeps in — or worse, moisture escapes and everything dries out to dust. A crumpled plastic baggie does approximately nothing to stop this. A glass jar with a screw lid is better, but it doesn't remove the air sitting on top of your stash, and every time you open it, you're flooding the contents with fresh oxygen.

The Tightvac stashbox solves both problems at once. The push-down vacuum lid physically forces air out of the container each time you seal it. You can hear it — a satisfying little click as the lid locks and the vacuum engages. That partial vacuum means less oxidation, less terpene loss, and dramatically less smell escaping. That's the whole point.

One honest limitation: the Tightvac isn't a laboratory-grade hard vacuum. It won't preserve herbs for years the way nitrogen-flushed packaging does. What it does is remove enough air to keep things noticeably fresher for weeks to months compared to a standard container — and it does it every single time you close the lid, with zero effort. For daily or weekly use, that's exactly the level of protection you need. If you're looking at genuinely long-term storage (6+ months), pair it with a humidity pack inside and store it somewhere cool and dark.

How to Use the Tightvac Stashbox

  1. Open the Tightvac by pressing the button on the lid and lifting straight up. The vacuum seal releases with a soft pop.
  2. Place your herbs, tea, coffee, or other goods inside. Don't overfill — leave about 1cm of headspace so the lid can compress the air above the contents.
  3. Place the lid back on top and press it down firmly until you hear and feel the click. That click means the vacuum has engaged and the seal is locked.
  4. To check the seal, try lifting the lid without pressing the release button. It shouldn't budge. If it lifts easily, press down again more firmly or check the rubber gasket for debris.
  5. Store the sealed Tightvac in a cool, dark place for maximum freshness. The opaque black body already blocks light, so you're halfway there.
  6. Clean the container between different herbs by hand-washing the lid and running the body through the top rack of a dishwasher. Let both dry completely before reloading.
