How the 4-Hole Disc Percolator Works in a Mini Dab Rig
A disc percolator sits flat inside the base of the rig, with 4 precisely drilled holes that force vapour to split into smaller bubbles as it passes through the water. More bubbles means more surface area in contact with water, which cools the hit and filters out micro-particles. The result is a noticeably smoother draw compared to a straight-tube mini rig with no percolation.

How to Use the Big Face Mini Dab Rig
- Fill the rig with water through the mouthpiece until the 4-hole disc percolator is submerged by roughly 5 mm. Do a test draw without heating anything — if water hits your lips, pour a bit out.
- Attach the quartz banger to the joint. It should sit snug without forcing it.
- Heat the banger with a butane torch, focusing on the bottom and sides for 20–30 seconds until it glows faintly. Then let it cool for 30–45 seconds — low-temp dabs preserve flavour and reduce harshness.
- Use the dab tool to place a small amount of concentrate (roughly the size of a grain of rice for your first go) inside the heated banger.
- Immediately place the carb cap over the banger. This restricts airflow and lowers the boiling point of your concentrate, producing thicker, more flavourful vapour.
- Inhale slowly and steadily through the mouthpiece. You'll see the vapour bubble through the disc percolator and up through the water.
- Exhale and enjoy. While the banger is still warm, use a cotton swab to wipe out any residue — this keeps the quartz clean and prevents burnt buildup that ruins the taste of your next dab.
Keeping Your Mini Dab Rig Clean
One of the genuine perks of a rig this small: cleaning takes about 2 minutes. Pour out the water after each session — stale water tastes grim and builds up residue fast. Once a week (or more if you're a daily dabber), pour some isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt into the rig, cover the openings, and give it a good shake for 30 seconds. The quartz banger needs attention too. Swab it with a dry cotton bud after every dab while it's still warm. If you let residue build up and carbonise, you'll need to soak the banger in isopropyl overnight.
