Storm Sapphire Resin Capsule for Hash and Concentrates

The Storm Sapphire Resin Capsule is a stainless steel dosing capsule designed specifically for vaporising pressed resin, hash, kief blocks, and rosin in your Storm Sapphire vaporizer. Instead of loading sticky concentrates directly into your heating chamber — where they melt into every crevice and leave a nightmare to clean — you crumble your material into this capsule, drop it in, and vape away. Your chamber stays clean, your resin vaporises evenly, and you get noticeably thicker clouds than you would trying to jury-rig dry herb capsules with concentrates stuffed inside.

If you're running through resin capsules regularly, it's worth picking up a spare Storm Sapphire Resin Capsule so you can pre-load one while the other cools down. And if you also vape dry herbs, grab the standard Storm Sapphire Dosing Capsules — same quick-swap system, built for flower instead of concentrates.

Why Your Sapphire Needs a Dedicated Resin Capsule

Within a week, the chamber is caked in melted resin, airflow is restricted, and the flavour of every session tastes like last Tuesday's leftovers. Concentrates melt. That's what they do. And a standard dry herb chamber isn't built to contain that.

The resin capsule solves this with a fine stainless steel mesh that holds your crumbled concentrate in place while letting hot air pass through evenly. The resin melts inside the capsule, not across your oven walls. When you're done, you pop the capsule out, let it cool, and give it a quick soak in isopropyl alcohol. The chamber itself stays virtually spotless. We've had customers tell us their Sapphire still looks new inside after months of daily hash sessions — and that's entirely down to using the capsule instead of going commando.

The honest limitation? This capsule is specifically sized for the Storm Sapphire. It won't fit the Storm Spirit, the Xmax Starry, or other portables without checking compatibility first. If you own a different Storm-family vaporizer, double-check before ordering — the chamber diameters vary by a millimetre or two, and that's enough to make a capsule either rattle around or not fit at all. For the Sapphire specifically, the fit is snug and precise.

How to Use the Storm Sapphire Resin Capsule

  1. Take a piece of hash, pressed kief, or rosin — roughly 0.1–0.15g works well for a single session. You don't need much; concentrates are dense.
  2. Crumble it into small pieces with your fingers or a dabber tool. The finer you break it up, the more surface area is exposed to hot air, and the better your vapour production will be. Avoid packing it too tightly — airflow needs to pass through the mesh.
  3. Place the crumbled resin inside the capsule. Fill it to about three-quarters full. Leaving a small gap at the top lets the hot air circulate properly.
  4. Drop the loaded capsule into the Storm Sapphire's heating chamber. It should sit flush without forcing.
  5. Set your temperature between 200°C and 240°C. Hash and pressed resins need more heat than dry herb to release their active compounds. Start at 200°C for the first few draws to get the terpene-rich flavour, then bump up to 220–240°C for thicker, more potent clouds.
  6. Draw slowly and steadily. Resin capsules reward patience — long, gentle pulls produce denser vapour than short, sharp puffs.
  7. When vapour production drops off (usually after 8–12 draws), your session is done. Switch off the Sapphire, wait 2–3 minutes for the capsule to cool, then remove it.
  8. Clean the capsule after every 3–5 sessions. Soak it in isopropyl alcohol (90%+ concentration) for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and let it dry completely before reloading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Storm Sapphire Resin Capsule fit other vaporizers?

No — it's designed specifically for the Storm Sapphire's chamber dimensions. Other Storm-family devices like the Spirit or Xmax Starry have slightly different chamber sizes. Always check compatibility before ordering a capsule for a different device.

What temperature should I vape hash at in the Storm Sapphire?

Between 200°C and 240°C. Start at the lower end for flavour-focused draws, then increase to 220–240°C when you want thicker, more potent vapour. Pressed resins need noticeably more heat than dry herb to vaporise properly.

How much resin should I put in the capsule?

Around 0.1–0.15g per load. Crumble it into small pieces and fill the capsule about three-quarters full. Overpacking restricts airflow and reduces vapour quality — concentrates are potent, so a little goes a long way.

Can I use the resin capsule for dry herb instead?

You can, but it's not the best tool for the job. The finer mesh restricts airflow more than a standard dosing capsule, so you'll get less vapour from ground herb. Use the regular Sapphire dosing capsules for flower and keep this one for concentrates.

How do I clean the Storm Sapphire Resin Capsule?

Soak it in isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) for 10–15 minutes, then rinse under warm water and let it air dry completely. Do this every 3–5 sessions for consistent performance. If you vape particularly sticky concentrates, clean after every 2–3 sessions.

Why is my resin capsule producing less vapour than it used to?

Residue buildup on the mesh. When melted resin clogs the fine perforations, airflow drops and so does vapour production. A good iso soak usually restores it completely. If the mesh is visibly darkened or blocked after soaking, it's time for a replacement.

Is the resin capsule the same as the standard Storm Sapphire dosing capsule?

No. The resin capsule has a finer stainless steel mesh designed to contain melted concentrates. Standard dosing capsules have larger perforations suited for ground dry herb. They're different tools for different materials — grab both if you vape herb and hash.
