Complete your setup: if you're getting the most from your Pax sessions, a set of replacement Pax screens and a cleaning kit will keep vapour quality high between charges. A dedicated Pax carry case pairs well with this mini charger for a proper travel kit.

Why a Spare Pax Charger Actually Matters

A dead Pax is a paperweight. And the standard charger that comes in the box, while solid, isn't exactly pocket-friendly. It's got a longer cable and a bulkier footprint — fine for your bedside table, less fine for a weekend bag or a jacket pocket. The Pax 2/3 Mini Charger solves a specific, annoying problem: keeping your vaporiser charged when you're not at home.

We've seen plenty of customers come in after losing or breaking their original charger. The magnetic dock on Pax devices is proprietary — you can't just plug in any micro-USB and call it a day. Without the right charger, you're stuck. Having a second one, especially a smaller one, means you've always got a backup. Keep the standard charger at home, toss this mini version in your bag. Sorted.

The shorter cable also makes a practical difference. Less cable to tangle, less cable to snag on things. If you're charging from a laptop or a power bank on the go, you don't need a metre of slack pooling in your lap. It connects via the same magnetic dock as the original — just drop your Pax onto it, and the magnets do the rest. You'll feel a satisfying little click when it seats properly. If the LED on your Pax starts pulsing, it's charging. Simple as that.

How to Use the Pax Mini Charger

  1. Plug the USB end of the mini charger cable into any USB power source — a wall adapter, laptop, or portable power bank all work.
  2. Place the magnetic dock end on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Set your Pax 2 or Pax 3 onto the magnetic dock. The magnets will guide it into position — you'll feel it snap into place.
  4. Check the LED indicator on your Pax. A pulsing light means it's charging. A solid light means it's fully charged.
  5. Once fully charged, lift the Pax off the dock. A full charge on the Pax 2 typically gives you around 8–10 sessions; the Pax 3 offers roughly 8–10 sessions as well depending on temperature setting.
  6. For the best battery longevity, avoid leaving your Pax on the charger for extended periods after it's reached full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Pax Mini Charger work with the Pax Mini vaporiser?

No. Despite the similar name, the Pax Mini (the newer, standalone device) uses a different charging system. This mini charger is specifically designed for the Pax 2 and Pax 3 only. The magnetic dock won't fit newer Pax models.

Can I charge my Pax 2 or Pax 3 from a power bank with this charger?

Yes. Plug the USB end into any power bank with a standard USB-A output and you're good to go. The shorter cable actually makes power bank charging tidier — less cable mess in your bag.

How long does it take to fully charge a Pax 2 or Pax 3 with the Mini Charger?

Charging time is the same as the standard charger — roughly 2–3 hours for a full charge on the Pax 2, and about 90 minutes for the Pax 3. The mini charger doesn't affect charging speed; only cable length and form factor differ.

Is the Pax 2 the same as the Pax Mini?

No. The Pax 2 is an older model from the original Pax lineup, while the Pax Mini is a newer, simplified device with different internals and a different charging port. This charger fits the Pax 2 and Pax 3 — not the Pax Mini.

What temperature settings work best with the Pax 2 and Pax 3?

The Pax 2 has 4 preset temperature settings ranging from 182°C to 215°C. The Pax 3 offers the same 4 presets plus a precision mode via the Pax app. Lower temperatures (around 182–190°C) give lighter, more flavourful vapour. Higher settings (204–215°C) produce thicker clouds. Start low and work up.

My Pax won't charge — is my charger broken?

First, clean the contacts. Residue builds up on the magnetic connection points over time. A cotton bud dipped in isopropyl alcohol usually sorts it. If the contacts are clean and it still won't charge, try a different USB power source. If neither works, the charger may need replacing — which is exactly why having a spare is a good shout.

How much herb does a Pax 2 or Pax 3 hold per session?

The standard oven holds around 0.3g of ground herb. You can also use the half-pack oven lid (sold separately) to load roughly 0.15g for solo sessions — a tip that gets more efficient extraction from smaller amounts.
