EASY VALVE Replacement Set for Volcano Vaporisers
The EASY VALVE Replacement Set is a pack of six pre-assembled balloon bags with mouthpieces, made by Storz & Bickel specifically for the Volcano vaporiser. Each balloon measures approximately 60 cm (2 feet) in length and clips straight onto your existing EASY VALVE adapter — no fiddling with scissors, cable ties, or oven bags. If your current balloons are looking cloudy, tasting stale, or you've simply popped one during an enthusiastic session, this set gets you back to clean, fresh vapour in about ten seconds.

Running the EASY VALVE system means your filling chamber screens take a beating too. Grab a set of EASY VALVE Filling Chamber replacement screens to keep airflow unrestricted and flavour clean. If you've been thinking about switching to the Solid Valve for its reusable balloon approach, we carry those separately — but honestly, for sheer convenience, the EASY VALVE system is hard to beat.
Why Fresh Volcano EASY VALVE Balloons Actually Matter
Fresh balloons are the single cheapest upgrade you can make to your Volcano setup, and most people wait far too long to swap them. After roughly 50–100 fills, the inside of a balloon develops a thin resin film. You can see it — that amber tint creeping across the plastic. You can taste it too: a stale, slightly acrid note that sits underneath whatever you're vaporising. That residue isn't just unpleasant; it means you're inhaling reheated deposits instead of clean vapour.
We've had customers in the shop swear their Volcano "doesn't hit like it used to" — then swap the balloon and realise the unit was fine all along. The difference between a fresh bag and a 3-month-old one is night and day. The first pull from a new EASY VALVE balloon is noticeably smoother, cooler, and more flavourful. It's the vaporiser equivalent of putting a fresh filter in your coffee machine.
One honest limitation: the 60 cm length is shorter than what you'd get cutting your own bags for the Solid Valve system, where some people run 90 cm or even 120 cm balloons. If you want massive clouds from a single fill, the EASY VALVE's fixed length means smaller volume per bag. The trade-off is zero prep time — no measuring, no cutting, no attaching mouthpieces with rubber bands. You pop the old one off, click the new one on, and you're done. For most people, that convenience wins.
EASY VALVE vs Solid Valve — Which Volcano System Suits You
The Volcano ships with either an EASY VALVE or Solid Valve system, and they're not interchangeable without buying the full starter set for the other type. Here's the practical difference:
| Feature | EASY VALVE | Solid Valve |
|---|---|---|
| Balloon Replacement | Click off, click on — 10 seconds | Cut to size, attach with clip — 2-3 minutes |
| Balloon Length | Fixed at 60 cm | Custom — cut any length you like |
| Cost Per Balloon | Higher (pre-assembled mouthpiece) | Lower (bulk roll of food-grade plastic) |
| Cleaning | Disposable — replace rather than clean | Balloon disposable, valve body cleanable |
| Best For | Convenience, group sessions, minimal fuss | Customisation, long-term cost savings |
We'd pick the EASY VALVE if you share your Volcano with mates — having 6 fresh bags ready to rotate through a session is genuinely useful. The Solid Valve makes more sense if you vape solo and want to dial in your exact bag size. Neither system is better in absolute terms; they solve different problems.
How to Replace Your Volcano EASY VALVE Balloon
- Let your Volcano cool down if it's been running. The filling chamber gets warm, and while it won't burn you, it's more comfortable to handle at room temperature.
- Grip the used balloon at the orange mouthpiece housing and pull it straight off the EASY VALVE adapter. It detaches with a firm tug — no twisting needed.
- Take a fresh balloon from the replacement set. The mouthpiece end is already attached and sealed.
- Push the new balloon's connector onto the EASY VALVE adapter until it clicks into place. You'll feel it seat firmly.
- Run a test fill at your usual temperature (we find 180–190°C is the sweet spot for most dry herbs). Watch the balloon inflate evenly — if it does, you're sorted.
- Dispose of the old balloon. The resin inside isn't worth trying to reclaim unless you enjoy scraping plastic with a razor blade. Just bin it.
