Arizer XQ2 Air Filter Cartridge — Clean Vapour, Every Session
The Arizer XQ2 Air Filter Cartridge is a replacement air intake filter designed to keep dust, debris, and airborne particles out of your desktop vaporiser sessions. It clicks straight into the XQ2's air intake port and runs incoming air through a triple-layer filter before it ever reaches your herbs. The result: cleaner vapour with nothing riding along that shouldn't be there. If you've been using your XQ2 for a few months without swapping this out, you're probably overdue.
It's a small part that does a big job. Desktop vaporisers pull ambient room air across your material — and whatever's floating around your room comes with it. Pet hair, dust mites, pollen, general household particles. None of that belongs in your lungs. This cartridge sits between your environment and your vapour path, catching the stuff you can't see before it becomes a problem.

Why Your XQ2 Needs a Fresh Air Filter Cartridge
The XQ2's air filter cartridge sits at the back of the unit where you don't really look. Out of sight, out of mind — until it's packed solid with months of accumulated dust.
The triple-layer design catches progressively finer particles as air passes through each layer. Layer one grabs the big stuff — visible dust, fibres, pet hair. Layers two and three handle the finer particulate matter that would otherwise coat your heating element and end up in your vapour. A clean filter means better airflow, which means more consistent temperature delivery across your herb. That directly affects vapour density and flavour clarity.
One honest limitation: Arizer doesn't publish an exact replacement interval, so you'll need to check it visually. We'd suggest pulling it out every 3–4 weeks for a look. If it's visibly grey or discoloured, swap it. If you've got pets or live in a dusty flat, check more often. Compared to the Arizer Extreme Q, which used a similar but not identical filter system, the XQ2's click-in cartridge is noticeably easier to swap — no fiddling, no forcing. It literally clicks in and out in under 2 seconds.
How to Replace the Arizer XQ2 Air Filter Cartridge
- Turn off your Arizer XQ2 and unplug it from the mains. Grip the plug body when removing it from the outlet — don't yank the cord. Let the unit cool for at least 10 minutes if it's been running.
- Locate the air intake port on the rear of the XQ2. You'll see the existing filter cartridge seated in the circular opening.
- Press the release tab gently and pull the old cartridge straight out. It should come free with minimal resistance. If it's stuck, it's probably packed with debris — another sign it was well past due for replacement.
- Take the new air filter cartridge out of its packaging. Align it with the intake port — there's only one correct orientation, so you can't install it wrong.
- Push the cartridge firmly into the port until you hear or feel it click into place. Give it a light tug to confirm it's seated properly.
- Plug your XQ2 back in and run a short heat cycle at 200°C for 2–3 minutes before loading any herbs. This burns off any manufacturing residue from the new filter material.
