CVault Twist: Stainless Steel Curing Container

The CVault Twist is a stainless steel curing container designed to lock in the freshness, flavour, and aroma of your cannabis flowers through controlled humidity storage. Built with a twist-top lid, thick silicone gasket, and a multi-nub closure system, this compact vault takes the guesswork out of curing — just twist, seal, and let time do the rest. Available in X-Small (7g) and Small (14g) sizes, it's the kind of kit that earns its spot on your shelf and stays there. Ready to buy a proper curing solution? This is where you start.

Complete your curing setup with replacement Boveda 62% humidity packs — they last 2 to 4 months depending on conditions, so having a few spares means you never have to open a half-cured jar and scramble. If you're storing larger harvests, check out the standard CVault containers in medium or large sizes for batch curing. For growers who want to order a full drying and curing kit, pairing the CVault Twist with a hanging dry net and a digital hygrometer covers the entire post-harvest workflow. Why the CVault Twist Beats a Mason Jar

The CVault Twist outperforms glass mason jars because its stainless steel body blocks 100% of light while the silicone gasket maintains a genuinely airtight seal — two things a standard screw-top jar cannot do. We've seen it hundreds of times over the years — someone grows a beautiful batch, dries it carefully, then shoves it into a glass jar and hopes for the best. Three weeks later the buds smell like hay, the trichomes have degraded, and the smoke is harsh. The problem isn't laziness; it's that a standard glass jar does nothing to regulate humidity and lets light straight through to your flower.

The CVault Twist addresses both of these weaknesses in one design. The stainless steel body is completely lightproof — according to research published by the EMCDDA, UV light is among the primary environmental factors that accelerate cannabinoid degradation during storage. This container blocks UV and visible light entirely. The thick silicone gasket creates a proper airtight seal, not the "mostly sealed" situation you get with a screw-top jar and a rubber band. And the built-in angled holder keeps your Boveda humidity pack suspended above the flower, so it regulates moisture evenly without sitting directly on your buds and creating wet spots.

The honest limitation? It's not the biggest container on the market. If you're pulling 100+ grams per harvest, you'll need either several of these or a larger CVault model. But for personal-use quantities — a quarter or half ounce at a time — the Twist format is genuinely the best curing container we'd recommend. The 3-nub twist lock is a real upgrade over the clip-style lids on older CVault models too; it's faster to open and close, and you don't get that annoying fight with stiff latches. Pick it up and you'll notice the weight immediately — this thing feels solid, not tinny. The steel has a satisfying heft, and the lid clicks into place with a firm, reassuring twist. If you want to get the most out of your home-grown flower, proper storage is non-negotiable.

How to Cure Cannabis with the CVault Twist

Curing cannabis in the CVault Twist takes 2 to 8 weeks: you pack dried buds loosely into the container with a Boveda 62% humidity pack, seal the twist-top lid, and burp daily for the first two weeks before reducing frequency. Here is the full process step by step.

  1. Make sure your buds are properly dried first. Stems should snap rather than bend, and the outside of each bud should feel dry to the touch. Typical drying takes 7 to 14 days in a dark, ventilated space at around 15 to 21 degrees Celsius and 55 to 65% relative humidity.
  2. Twist off the CVault lid by turning it anticlockwise until the 3-nub lock releases.
  3. Slide a Boveda 62% humidity pack into the angled holder inside the lid. The 62% level is the standard for cannabis curing — it keeps buds at the right moisture level to develop flavour without encouraging mould. One size-8 Boveda pack is included with each CVault Twist.
  4. Loosely pack your dried flower into the container. Don't crush or compress the buds — you want air to circulate around them. Fill the X-Small with up to 7 grams, or the Small with up to 14 grams.
  5. Twist the lid back on clockwise until the nubs lock into place. You should feel them click — that's your confirmation the seal is engaged.
  6. Store the CVault in a cool, dark place. Room temperature (around 18 to 22 degrees Celsius) works well. Avoid radiators, windowsills, and anywhere with temperature swings.
  7. For the first two weeks, open the container once a day for 15 to 30 minutes to let excess moisture escape — this is called "burping." After two weeks, reduce burping to once every few days.
  8. Curing takes a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks for noticeable improvement in flavour and smoothness. Many growers cure for 4 to 8 weeks for the best results. The Boveda pack will handle humidity regulation throughout — just check it occasionally and replace it when it feels crunchy or stiff (typically every 2 to 4 months).
