G Pen Elite II Portable Vaporizer

The G Pen Elite II is a portable dry herb vaporizer that combines dual convection/conduction heating with Wi-Fi connectivity and a full ceramic chamber — a genuine step up from the original Elite that made G Pen a household name. Built around a 360 heating element wrapped in a zinc alloy shell, it heats between 93 and 221°C and gives you up to an hour of continuous use on a single charge. If you want precise temperature control in something that fits in your jacket pocket, this is the one we'd point you towards.

What's Included in the Box

Unboxing the Elite II, you get everything you need to start vaping straight away — no hunting for extras.

  • G Pen Elite II vaporizer unit
  • Zirconia ceramic cooling mouthpiece
  • USB-C charging cable
  • Built-in pick tool (housed in the base of the device)
  • User manual

The pick tool tucked into the base is a nice touch — it's always there when you need to clear out the chamber after a session. No more patting your pockets for a paperclip.

Build Quality and Materials

The Elite II feels solid in the hand. The zinc alloy body has a proper weight to it — not heavy enough to be a burden, but enough that you know you're holding something built to last. It doesn't creak or flex when you grip it, which is more than we can say for some plastic-bodied portables in the same bracket.

Inside, the heating chamber is full ceramic — no exposed metal coils touching your herb. The mouthpiece is zirconia ceramic, which stays noticeably cooler than stainless steel alternatives during longer sessions. You can feel the difference after 10–15 minutes of continuous use; zirconia dissipates heat better, so your lips aren't getting toasted.

One honest note: the mouthpiece clicks into place rather than screwing in. It's secure enough for pocket carry, but if you're rough with your gear, keep an eye on it. We've seen customers baby their vapes and get years out of a click-fit system, and we've seen others who could break a Nokia. You know which camp you're in.

The Dash is the simpler, more affordable option from G Pen — three preset temperatures, smaller body, grab-and-go. If you want to dial in exact degrees and you care about flavour extraction across different strains, the Elite II is where G Pen wants you to land. The dual heating system genuinely pulls more terpene complexity from your herb than a pure conduction setup.

Why the Elite II Earns Its Place in Your Pocket

Most portable vaporizers force you to pick a lane: conduction heats fast but can scorch the edges of your herb. Convection distributes heat more evenly but takes longer to get going. The Elite II's 360 heating element does both simultaneously. Your herb heats from the walls of the ceramic chamber and from the hot air passing through it. The result? Even extraction, better flavour, and less waste. You actually taste the difference between strains instead of everything coming out tasting vaguely toasted.

The temperature range is properly wide — 93°C at the low end for gentle terpene-forward draws, all the way up to 221°C when you want thick, dense vapour. The Elite II's LED screen lets you land on that number exactly, degree by degree. No guessing, no preset compromises.

Then there's the Wi-Fi connectivity, which sounds like a gimmick until you realise what it actually does. G Pen pushes firmware updates through Wi-Fi — so your vaporizer can genuinely improve after you buy it. Temperature calibration tweaks, battery management optimisation, new features. Your vape gets better over time instead of slowly becoming obsolete. You can also monitor your usage stats, which is either fascinating or terrifying depending on how honest you want to be with yourself.

The battery situation is solid: 2100mAh gives you up to 60 minutes of continuous use, and a full recharge from empty takes just 1.5 hours over USB-C. That's enough for a full evening session or several shorter ones throughout the day. The battery isn't removable though — that's the one trade-off. If it degrades after a couple of years of heavy use, you can't just swap in a fresh cell. For most people, the 2100mAh capacity and USB-C convenience more than make up for it. But if swappable batteries are a dealbreaker for you, it's worth knowing upfront.

How to Use the G Pen Elite II

Getting started with the Elite II takes about 30 seconds once you've got the hang of it. Here's the process.

  1. Remove the zirconia ceramic mouthpiece by pulling it gently upward to expose the heating chamber.
  2. Grind your dry herb to a medium consistency — not powder-fine, but not chunky either. A medium grind gives the dual heating system the best surface area to work with.
  3. Pack the ceramic chamber. Fill it fully but don't compress it too tightly — air needs to flow through for the convection element to do its job.
  4. Click the mouthpiece back into position until it seats securely.
  5. Power on the device and use the LED display to set your preferred temperature between 93 and 221°C. Start around 180°C if you're new to the device and work up from there.
  6. Wait for the Elite II to reach your target temperature — it heats quickly thanks to the 360 element — then draw slowly and steadily from the mouthpiece.
  7. Enjoy up to 1 hour of continuous vaping on a full charge.
  8. When you're done, power off the device, remove the mouthpiece, and empty the chamber. Use the built-in pick tool stored in the base to clear any stubborn herb residue from the ceramic walls.

Run the Elite II empty at maximum temperature for a full heat cycle. This clears any manufacturing residues from the chamber and gives you a cleaner first taste.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Keeping the Elite II in good shape is straightforward, and regular cleaning genuinely extends the life of the device.

  1. After every session, use the built-in pick tool to scrape out spent herb from the ceramic chamber while it's still slightly warm — residue comes out much easier before it cools and hardens.
  2. Once a week (or every 5–7 sessions), remove the mouthpiece and wipe the inside of the chamber with a cotton bud dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely before reassembling.
  3. Clean the zirconia mouthpiece separately — soak it in isopropyl alcohol for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly.
  4. Wipe the exterior zinc alloy body with a dry cloth. Avoid getting liquid into the LED display or charging port.
  5. Never submerge the main unit in any liquid.

A clean chamber means better flavour and more efficient heating. Resin build-up insulates the ceramic walls and forces the heater to work harder, which drains the battery faster. Five minutes of maintenance saves you from a disappointing session.

Complete your setup with a quality herb grinder — a consistent medium grind makes a real difference to vapour quality with the Elite II's dual heating system. A dedicated cleaning kit with isopropyl alcohol and precision cotton buds will also keep your ceramic chamber performing at its best between deep cleans.
