Complete your dab setup — pair the Micro Tube with a quartz banger for clean-tasting concentrate hits, or grab a dab tool set so you're not fumbling with sticky extracts and improvised paperclips. A small silicone dab mat underneath keeps everything tidy and protects your table from heat marks.

Why This Micro Dab Rig Earns Its Spot

Most compact rigs make compromises you can feel on the first draw. Either the vapour path is so short it scorches your throat, or the glass is so thin you're afraid to set it down on a hard surface. The Groove Micro Tube Glass Rig avoids both problems. The fixed downstem sits submerged in a small water chamber, and that 13.5cm of travel between the nail and your lips is enough to cool and filter vapour noticeably. It's not the same as pulling through a 30cm beaker — nobody's claiming that — but for a piece this size, the smoothness genuinely surprises.

Borosilicate glass is the same material used in laboratory beakers and high-end cookware. It handles rapid temperature changes without cracking, which matters when you're torching a banger centimetres away from the water chamber. The walls on this piece feel solid in the hand — there's a reassuring weight to it despite the small footprint. Pick it up and you'll notice it doesn't feel like a novelty item. It feels like a proper rig that happens to be small.

The honest limitation: the water volume is tiny. You'll need to change it frequently — every session or two — because a small chamber gets cloudy fast. That's the trade-off for portability. On the upside, cleaning takes about 90 seconds with some isopropyl alcohol and a rinse. No awkward percolator chambers to scrub, no removable downstem to lose. The fixed downstem means fewer parts, fewer breakage points, and less fiddling around.

How to Use the Groove Micro Tube Glass Rig

  1. Add fresh water to the base chamber. Pour slowly until the bottom of the fixed downstem is submerged by roughly 1cm — just enough to see bubbles when you draw. Too much water and you'll get splashback at the mouthpiece.
  2. Attach your banger or bowl to the joint. For concentrates, a quartz banger is the best match for flavour. For dry flower, use a compatible glass bowl piece.
  3. If using concentrates: heat the banger with a torch until it reaches your preferred temperature. Let it cool for 20–40 seconds (lower temps around 260–315°C preserve terpenes and flavour). Drop your concentrate in with a dab tool and cap the banger.
  4. Draw slowly through the flared mouthpiece. The fixed downstem diffuses vapour through the water, cooling it before it reaches your lips. Slow, steady draws produce the smoothest results — pulling hard on a micro rig just forces hot vapour past the water too quickly.
  5. Exhale and enjoy. After your session, pour out the water. Stale water left sitting overnight turns a clean rig into something unpleasant fast.
