Cleaning supplies fall into two jobs: scrubbing resin out of smoking gear, and keeping contamination out of mushroom grows. Different tools, same principle — clean gear works better, tastes better, lasts longer. Below is a quick orientation so you can order the right thing first time instead of buying three brushes that don't fit.
| What you're cleaning | Shop this | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Bong chamber, downstem, percolator | Bong Brush, Bong Master Concentrate, Salt Chute | Daily smokers, anyone with a percolator they can't reach |
| Pipes, one-hitters, small bowls | Pipe Dreamz, Small Bristle Brush, Screen Brush | Pipe users, first-time buyers building a cleaning kit |
| Grinder teeth and kief screen | Grinder Brush | Anyone whose grinder has started sticking |
| Vaporiser chamber and mouthpiece | Alcohol Wipes, Small Bristle Brush | Dry-herb vape users who want the flavour back |
| Mushroom grow work (sterile) | 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, Hand Disinfection Liquid, Alcohol Wipes | Growers inoculating jars or handling spore syringes |
Two categories of customer end up here. The first is anyone with glass or a grinder that's gone sticky — resin builds up fast and it kills both airflow and flavour. The second is mushroom growers, where cleaning supplies are sterility supplies, and one ungloved hand can take out an entire batch of grain jars.
If you're kitting out a cleaning drawer from scratch, we'd pick three things: Bong Master Concentrate for the heavy lifting (no scrubbing, just soak and rinse), a Bong Brush in whichever bristle style fits your piece, and a pack of Pipe Dreamz for the awkward curves. That's about 90% of cleaning problems sorted.
For a first bong clean, buy Bong Master and a Bong Brush. The powder dissolves resin in about five minutes — drop it in with hot water, wait, rinse, done. The brush is there for percolator slits and downstems where the powder needs a hand. Add the Salt Chute if you've ever tried pouring salt into a bong neck and ended up with half of it on the counter.
For pipes and small bowls, Pipe Dreamz do most of the work — 60 flexible cleaners in a pack means you're not rationing them. Pair with the Screen Brush if your pipe uses screens, or the Small Bristle Brush for general bowl and chamber scrubbing. For grinders, the Grinder Brush is the only tool you need: bristles sweep the kief screen, the pointed end chips resin off the teeth.
For growers, the rules change. You're not cleaning, you're sterilising. Order 99% isopropyl for surfaces and tools (evaporates fast, zero residue), Hand Disinfection Liquid for your hands before every inoculation, and Alcohol Wipes for spot-cleaning spore syringe needles and jar lids. When in doubt, over-sterilise — contamination is the number one reason grows fail.
Use a no-scrub concentrate like Bong Master. You drop 1–2 teaspoons into the piece, add hot water, wait five minutes, and rinse. For stubborn residue in necks and percolators, follow up with a Bong Brush — but most jobs don't need it.
Depends on the job. 70% isopropyl (like our Alcohol Wipes) is better for general disinfection because the water content helps it penetrate cell walls. 99% isopropyl evaporates faster and leaves no residue, which is why growers use it for sterilising tools and surfaces. For cleaning glass with salt, 99% works harder.
Conical for wide chambers and tapered necks, Tipped for straight downstems, Cotton Tipped if you've got thin or delicate glass and want less abrasion. If you're not sure, the standard Tipped version fits most bongs in our shop.
Pop it in the freezer for 30 minutes so the resin hardens, then use a Grinder Brush — pointed end to chip resin off the teeth, bristle end to sweep the kief screen clean. For aluminium grinders, you can also soak the parts in 99% isopropyl for a deep clean.
Three things: 99% Isopropyl Alcohol for tools and surfaces, Hand Disinfection Liquid for your hands, and Alcohol Wipes for spot-sterilising needles and jar lids. Contamination kills more grows than anything else — sterile hands and tools are non-negotiable.
