Choose Your Pack Size

Pack Seeds SKU Best For
3-pack 3 feminized autoflowering seeds CSVS0036 Single grow or test run
5-pack 5 feminized autoflowering seeds CSVS0064 Better value per seed, room for extras

We'd go with the 5-pack. You get two spare seeds as insurance against any that don't pop, and the per-seed cost drops. With autoflowers, you can stagger your plants by a week or two and harvest in waves rather than all at once.

Why Vision Jack Autoflowering Seeds Deserve a Spot in Your Grow

Jack Herer is one of those strains that needs no introduction — named after the cannabis activist, bred from Haze, Northern Lights #5, and Shiva Skunk, and consistently ranked among the best sativa-dominant hybrids ever created. The problem? Classic Jack Herer photoperiod plants can stretch tall, need careful light-cycle management, and take their sweet time finishing. Not everyone has a 2-metre tent and 14 weeks of patience.

Vision Seeds solved that by crossing their own feminized Vision Jack — already a proven Jack Herer variant — with ruderalis genetics. The result is Vision Jack Autoflowering: a 70% Indica-dominant auto that flowers on her own schedule regardless of light cycle, stays under a metre tall, and finishes in about 9 weeks from the start of flowering. You lose a couple of percentage points of THC compared to the photoperiod version (16% versus roughly 18-20%), but you gain speed, simplicity, and a plant that fits into a 60x60 tent without complaint.

The honest limitation? At 16% THC, she's not going to compete with the most potent photoperiod cuts on the market. But 16% is still a solid, enjoyable smoke — especially when the terpene profile delivers that classic Jack Herer spicy, piney, slightly sweet flavour that made the original famous. We've seen growers chase THC numbers and end up with harsh, flavourless bud. Vision Jack Autoflowering goes the other way: taste and character first, with enough potency to keep experienced smokers satisfied.

Complete your grow setup: If you're growing Vision Jack Autoflowering indoors, pair her with a complete grow tent kit that includes lighting, ventilation, and a carbon filter. For soil growers, a quality organic soil mix gives autoflowers the gentle nutrient profile they prefer — heavy feeding schedules can overwhelm autos, so a pre-amended soil takes the guesswork out. And if you're germinating for the first time, a propagation kit with a humidity dome and root stimulator gives your seeds the best possible start.

Growing Vision Jack Autoflowering — What to Expect

This is genuinely one of the more forgiving autoflowering strains we've come across. Vision Seeds designed her for growers who don't want to babysit their plants, and it shows. She stays compact — topping out at 80 cm indoors, 100 cm outdoors — which means you won't be fighting for headroom in a small tent. The 70% Indica genetics give her a sturdy, bushy structure rather than the lanky stretch you sometimes get with sativa-heavy autos.

Yields of up to 400 g/m2 indoors are genuinely impressive for an autoflower. That's only slightly below what the photoperiod Vision Jack produces, which tells you the genetics are doing serious work here. Outdoors, she'll do well in most European climates as long as she gets decent sunlight — the autoflowering trait means she doesn't depend on shortening days to trigger flowering, so you can plant her from spring right through to late summer.

One thing to watch: like most autoflowers, she doesn't respond well to heavy training techniques like topping or high-stress training (HST). Her lifecycle is too short to recover from major stress. Stick with low-stress training (LST) — gently bending branches outward to expose more bud sites to light. That's where your yield gains come from with autos. If you've never trained a plant before, LST on an autoflower is actually a great way to learn because the stakes are low and the turnaround is fast.

The aroma during flowering is distinctly Jack Herer — expect a spicy, resinous pine scent with sweet undertones that fills the room. If you're growing indoors without a carbon filter, your neighbours will know about it by week 5. Just a heads-up.

How to Grow Vision Jack Autoflowering Seeds

  1. Germinate your seeds. Place seeds between damp paper towels on a plate, cover with a second plate, and keep at 20-25°C. Taproots typically appear within 24-72 hours. Don't soak seeds for longer than 12 hours in water — paper towel method is more reliable.
  2. Plant directly into final pots. Autoflowers dislike transplanting — the root disturbance can stunt growth during their short lifecycle. Use 11-15 litre pots with well-draining soil. Plant the germinated seed 1 cm deep, taproot pointing down.
  3. Set your light schedule. Autoflowers don't need light-cycle changes. Run 18/6 (18 hours on, 6 hours off) from seedling to harvest for the best balance of growth and energy efficiency. Some growers run 20/4 — both work, but 18/6 gives the plant a rest period and saves on electricity.
  4. Feed lightly. Autoflowers are smaller plants with shorter lives — they need roughly half the nutrients of a photoperiod strain. Start feeding at 25% of the manufacturer's recommended dose around week 2-3, and increase gradually. Overfeeding is the number one mistake we see with autos.
  5. Apply LST from week 3. Once the plant has 4-5 nodes, gently bend the main stem sideways and secure with soft plant ties. This opens up the canopy and encourages lower branches to develop into proper bud sites. No topping, no supercropping.
  6. Monitor flowering. Vision Jack Autoflowering will begin flowering automatically around week 3-4 from germination. The 9-week flowering period starts here. Watch trichomes with a jeweller's loupe — harvest when most trichomes are milky white with a few turning amber for the best balance of potency and flavour.
  7. Flush before harvest. Stop all nutrients 1-2 weeks before you plan to chop and water with plain pH-balanced water. This helps the plant use up stored nutrients and produces a cleaner, smoother smoke.
  8. Dry and cure. Hang whole plants or individual branches in a dark room at 18-21°C and 55-65% humidity for 7-14 days. Once stems snap rather than bend, trim and jar the buds. Burp jars daily for the first two weeks. A proper cure brings out that classic Jack Herer spicy-pine flavour profile.

Vision Jack Auto vs. Photoperiod Vision Jack — Which to Pick

Feature Vision Jack Autoflowering Vision Jack (Photoperiod)
Type Autoflowering, feminized Photoperiod, feminized
THC 16% ~18-20%
Indica / Sativa 70% Indica / 30% Sativa Sativa-dominant
Flowering Time 9 weeks 9-10 weeks (plus veg period)
Total Seed-to-Harvest ~11-13 weeks ~16-20 weeks
Indoor Height Up to 80 cm Taller, needs more headroom
Yield Up to 400 g/m2 Slightly higher
Light Schedule 18/6 throughout Requires 12/12 flip to flower
Grow Difficulty Easy Moderate

The autoflowering version is the best Jack Herer seed for growers who want speed and simplicity. You sacrifice a few THC percentage points and a touch of yield, but you gain weeks of time and skip the light-cycle management entirely. If you're growing in a small space, running a quick summer outdoor grow, or just don't want to deal with timers and light leaks, Vision Jack Autoflowering is the smarter pick. If maximum potency and yield are your priority and you have the space and patience, go photoperiod.
