Royal Haze Autoflower Cannabis Seeds

Royal Haze Autoflower is an autoflowering feminized cannabis seed from Royal Queen Seeds that delivers the classic Amsterdam Haze profile — energetic, uplifting, juicy — in a compact plant that goes from seed to harvest in roughly 12 weeks. Built from a cross of Amnesia Haze and Skunk genetics, this strain keeps the 20% THC punch of its parent lineage while staying short enough (60–100 cm) to fit comfortably in any indoor setup. If you want proper Haze flavour without babysitting light schedules or wrestling a 2-metre plant, this is where you start.

How Many Seeds Do You Need?

Royal Haze Autoflower seeds come in packs of 1, 3, 5, and 10. For a first run, 3 seeds gives you enough room for one or two strong plants plus a backup in case germination doesn't go your way. Running a full tent? Grab the 10-pack — autoflowers don't clone well, so you'll want fresh seeds every cycle. One seed per 10–20 litre pot is the sweet spot for indoor grows.

Complete your grow setup with a propagation kit to get these seeds off to a strong start. Pair with a complete grow tent kit if you're building an indoor space from scratch — a carbon filter, extraction fan, and proper lighting make the difference between a decent harvest and a great one. BioBizz nutrients (Grow, Bloom, and Top Max) are a proven combination for autoflowers in light mix soil.

Why Royal Haze Autoflower Belongs in Your Grow Tent

Traditional Haze strains are legendary for a reason — that sharp, citrusy, almost electric flavour profile and the clear-headed, energetic effect that made Amsterdam coffeeshops famous. The problem? Classic Haze plants grow tall, take 10–14 weeks just in flowering, and demand careful light cycle management. They're rewarding, but they're a commitment.

Royal Haze Autoflower strips away the complexity. Because it carries ruderalis genetics alongside the Amnesia Haze and Skunk parentage, it flowers automatically regardless of your light schedule. No switching from 18/6 to 12/12, no stress about light leaks triggering hermaphroditism. You plant the seed, keep the lights on 18–20 hours a day, and 12 weeks later you're trimming. The 60–100 cm height range means even a small 60x60 cm tent can hold one or two plants without vertical space becoming an issue.

The honest limitation: 80 grams per plant indoors is modest compared to photoperiod Haze strains that can push 400–500 g/m². You're trading raw yield for speed and simplicity. If maximum weight per cycle is your priority, a photoperiod strain like the standard Royal Haze will outperform this one. But if you want that Haze taste and a 20% THC result without a three-month flowering window on top of a veg period, the autoflower version delivers. We'd pick this over most photoperiod Hazes for a first grow — the margin for error is much wider.

Flavour and Aroma: What Royal Haze Autoflower Actually Tastes Like

Expect the classic Haze nose — sharp, citrus-forward, with a peppery Skunk undertone that rounds out the exhale. The Amnesia Haze parent brings that almost lemony sweetness, while the Skunk genetics add earthiness and body. Properly cured, the buds have a sticky, resinous texture and a fragrance that fills a room the moment you crack a jar. The taste on the inhale is juicy and bright, leaning toward tropical fruit with a spicy finish. Not subtle — this is a strain that announces itself.

One thing to flag: because the terpene profile is so pungent, you'll want proper carbon filtration during the last 4–5 weeks of growth. Even in a sealed tent, the smell pushes through fabric seams without adequate extraction.

How to Grow Royal Haze Autoflower Seeds

  1. Germinate your seeds. Place seeds between damp paper towels on a plate, cover with a second plate, and keep at 20–25 °C. Taproots typically emerge within 24–72 hours. Handle with clean hands or tweezers — contamination at this stage is the number one reason seeds fail.
  2. Plant directly into the final pot. Autoflowers don't transplant well. Use a 10–20 litre pot filled with a light, airy soil mix (BioBizz Light Mix works well). Plant the germinated seed 1–2 cm deep, taproot facing down.
  3. Set your light schedule. 18 hours on, 6 hours off from day one through harvest. Some growers run 20/4 for extra growth — both work. Royal Haze Autoflower doesn't need a light cycle change to trigger flowering.
  4. Keep feeding light for the first 2–3 weeks. Seedlings in a pre-fertilised light mix don't need additional nutrients immediately. Start introducing a mild grow nutrient around week 3 when the plant shows its first true leaf sets.
  5. Switch to bloom nutrients when pre-flowers appear. You'll typically see the first pistils around week 4–5. Transition to a bloom feed and consider adding a flowering booster (Top Max or similar) from week 6 onward.
  6. Monitor humidity and temperature. Keep relative humidity at 40–50% during flowering and temperature between 20–26 °C. Autoflowers are forgiving, but mould in dense Haze buds is a real risk if humidity spikes above 60% in late flower.
  7. Harvest around week 10–12. Check trichomes with a jeweller's loupe — mostly milky with a few amber trichomes signals peak THC. Chop, trim, and hang-dry in a dark room at 18–20 °C and 55–60% humidity for 7–10 days before jarring for a cure.

Royal Haze Autoflower vs Other Autoflowering Haze Strains

If you're comparing autoflowering Haze options, the main competitors in the Royal Queen Seeds catalogue are Royal Cheese Automatic and Royal Dwarf. Royal Cheese Automatic leans more indica — shorter, bushier, with a cheesy, earthy flavour that's nothing like Haze. Royal Dwarf is even more compact (40–70 cm) but sacrifices THC potency, sitting closer to 13%. Royal Haze Autoflower hits the best balance of Haze character and autoflower convenience: 20% THC, proper Haze terpenes, and a manageable 60–100 cm frame.

Outside the RQS range, FastBuds' Amnesia Haze Auto is the closest competitor. It runs a similar timeline and height, with comparable THC levels. The difference is largely in seed bank preference and availability. We carry Royal Queen Seeds because the germination rates are consistently strong — we've seen very few complaints over the years.
