CBD Mix Cannabis Seeds by Royal Queen Seeds

The CBD Mix is a feminised seed variety pack from Royal Queen Seeds that lets you grow and compare multiple CBD-rich cannabis strains from a single purchase. Instead of committing to five seeds of one strain and wondering "what if," you get one seed each of Royal Queen Seeds' medical line — Royal Highness, Dance World, Medical Mass, and (in the 5-pack) Royal Medic and Painkiller XL. It's the sampler platter approach to finding your preferred CBD cultivar.

Feminised Seeds CBD Content 10–12% 3 or 5 Seed Packs Royal Queen Seeds 18+ only

3-Pack vs 5-Pack — Which One?

The 3-seed pack gives you one each of Royal Highness, Dance World, and Medical Mass — two sativa-dominant strains and one indica-dominant. That's enough to compare uplifting versus relaxing growth characteristics and resin profiles. The 5-seed pack adds Royal Medic and Painkiller XL, rounding out the full Royal Queen Seeds medical catalogue. If you've got the tent space (or outdoor plot), the 5-pack is the one we'd pick — two extra phenotypes for a relatively small price bump, and you won't be left wondering what you missed.

What's Inside Each CBD Mix Seed Pack

Every seed in this mix is feminised, so you won't waste weeks vegging a plant only to cull it at sexing. Here's exactly what you're growing:

3-Seed Pack

Strain Dominance CBD THC Flavour Profile
Royal Highness Sativa-dominant 12% 14% Fruity, sweet
Dance World Sativa-dominant hybrid 11% 12% Spicy, fruity
Medical Mass Indica-dominant 11% 10% Sweet, earthy

5-Seed Pack (all of the above, plus)

Strain Dominance CBD THC Flavour Profile
Royal Medic Indica-dominant High CBD Moderate Herbal, citrus
Painkiller XL Sativa/Indica High CBD Moderate Peppery, sweet

The CBD-to-THC ratios across this mix sit close to 1:1, which is worth noting. Royal Highness at 12% CBD and 14% THC leans slightly toward THC dominance, while Medical Mass at 11% CBD and 10% THC tips the other way. Dance World lands almost dead even at 11% CBD to 12% THC. That near-balanced profile is what researchers have focused on in recent clinical work — according to a study cited by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, a combination of THC and CBD was investigated for acute migraine treatment, suggesting the two cannabinoids may work more effectively together than in isolation (NCBI, Cannabidiol in Clinical Care).

Why a CBD Seed Variety Pack Makes Sense

We've been selling cannabis seeds since our early days in Amsterdam, and the single most common regret growers share is "I wish I'd tried a few strains before buying ten of one." That's doubly true with CBD cultivars, where the differences between strains aren't just about yield or flowering time — they're about the specific cannabinoid and terpene profiles you end up with in your jar.

Medical Mass grows short, dense, and indica-heavy. It finishes fast and produces thick, resinous buds with a sweet, earthy smell when you crack them open. Dance World is the opposite end of the spectrum — taller, stretchier, with a spicy-fruity aroma that fills the room during late flower. Royal Highness sits somewhere in between, with enough sativa stretch to need training but enough structure to stay manageable indoors. Growing all three side by side in the same tent is genuinely educational. You'll see how differently each plant responds to the same light, nutrients, and environment.

The honest limitation: because you only get one seed per strain, there's no room for error. If you lose a seedling to damping off or a pH mishap, that strain is gone from your run. We'd recommend germinating in damp paper towels rather than direct-sowing — it gives you a visual check on viability before committing to soil or coco.

CBD Cannabis Seeds — What the Research Says About CBD

CBD-rich cannabis strains have attracted serious clinical interest over the past decade. According to a review published in Frontiers in Pharmacology, clinical data suggest that CBD is well tolerated and associated with few serious adverse events at therapeutic doses, both in children and adults (PMC, Update on Cannabidiol Clinical Toxicity, 2023). That's a reassuring baseline, though it refers to purified CBD preparations rather than whole-plant material.

According to a review in the Journal of Cannabis Research, the therapeutic efficacy of CBD has been examined across multiple conditions, with the purpose of synthesising available evidence from clinical research (PMC, Therapeutic Efficacy of CBD, 2021). The same review noted possible concerns including the potential for adverse effects such as liver toxicity, drug-drug interactions, and lack of regulation in consumer products (PubMed 33585159).

Historically, cannabis has been used to address pain since approximately 2900 B.C., with use originating in Chinese medicine. According to Healthline, researchers believe that components like CBD may be responsible for some of these traditionally observed effects (Healthline, CBD Benefits and Uses).

It's also worth knowing that CBD can interact with many medications, including blood thinners, antidepressants, and heart drugs, potentially altering effectiveness or increasing side effects. If you're on any regular medication, speak to your doctor before using CBD-rich plant material.

Running a mixed-strain grow? A propagation kit with humidity dome keeps germination rates high when you've only got one shot per cultivar. Pair with a pH meter and calibrated nutrients — when each plant is a different genetic background, dialling in your feed early saves headaches later. If you're growing indoors, a grow tent with adjustable ventilation lets you manage the different stretch heights you'll get from sativa-dominant Royal Highness versus the compact Medical Mass.

How to Get the Most From Your CBD Mix Seeds

  1. Open the pack and identify each seed by the labelling. Royal Queen Seeds marks each strain individually — don't mix them up, or your grow journal becomes fiction.
  2. Germinate using the paper towel method: place seeds between two damp (not soaking) sheets of kitchen paper on a plate, cover with a second plate, and keep in a dark spot at 22–25°C. Check every 12 hours. You should see taproots within 24–72 hours.
  3. Once taproots reach 1–2 cm, transfer each seed to its own small pot (7–10 cm) filled with light, well-aerated seedling mix. Plant taproot-down, about 1 cm deep.
  4. Label every pot immediately. Seriously. "I'll remember which is which" has never been true in the history of growing.
  5. Maintain humidity around 65–70% during the seedling stage. A simple humidity dome or upturned plastic cup with ventilation holes does the job.
  6. Transplant to final containers (7–15 litre pots work well for indoor) once the third set of true leaves appears. The indica-dominant Medical Mass will stay shorter and bushier; Royal Highness and Dance World will stretch more and may benefit from low-stress training (LST) to keep the canopy even.
  7. During flowering, watch each plant's trichome development individually. The indica-leaning strains will likely finish a week or two before the sativa-dominant ones. Harvest each when the trichomes shift from clear to milky — don't rush the sativas just because the indicas are ready.
  8. Dry in a dark, ventilated space at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 7–14 days. Cure in glass jars, burping daily for the first week, then every few days for at least two more weeks. This is where the distinct terpene profiles of each strain really develop — Medical Mass gets sweeter, Dance World gets spicier.
