Squirt Cannabis Seeds by Humboldt Seed Company

Squirt is a sativa-dominant feminised cannabis seed from Humboldt Seed Company that crosses Blueberry Muffin with Tangie for a sweet-and-sour terpene profile you won't stop thinking about. With 20% THC, 80% sativa genetics, and a flowering time of roughly 50 days, this strain delivers energising effects and seriously resinous buds — the kind that stick to your fingers during trim and fill the room with raspberry and citrus. If you're after flavour-forward genetics that also pull their weight at harvest, Squirt belongs on your shortlist.

80% Sativa / 20% Indica THC: 20% Flowering: ~50 Days Yield: Up to 600g Outdoors 18+ only

Squirt is available in packs of 3 feminised seeds (SKU: CSHC0022). Feminised means every seed produces a flowering female plant — no need to identify and remove males during early flower.

Why Squirt Seeds Deserve a Spot in Your Grow Room

Two things sell a cannabis strain: how it smokes and how it grows. Squirt nails both. The parentage tells the story — Blueberry Muffin brings that bakery-sweet, berry-forward nose, while Tangie layers in bright citrus and a sour edge that keeps the palate interesting. The result is a terpene profile that leans heavily into sweet raspberry and tangerine, with enough complexity to make extraction enthusiasts very happy. High resin production means Squirt is one of the best strains for homemade rosin or bubble hash if you're into that sort of thing.

On the growing side, Humboldt Seed Company bred this one for consistency. We've seen plenty of "flavour strains" that are a nightmare to cultivate — finicky feeders, mould magnets, or just wildly inconsistent from seed to seed. Squirt isn't that. It shows strong resistance to pests and disease, adapts to different environments, and doesn't punish you for minor mistakes. That said, it does stretch. A lot. The 80% sativa genetics mean vertical growth can get ambitious during the first few weeks of flower, so plan your space accordingly or be ready with some LST.

The honest limitation? If your ceiling height is tight — say, a 120cm tent — you'll want to flip to 12/12 early or train aggressively. Squirt rewards growers who give it room to breathe. In a proper space with adequate light, this plant fills out beautifully and the branches will need support stakes or a trellis net by late flower. The buds get heavy.

How to Grow Squirt Feminised Seeds

Squirt is adaptable enough for growers with a bit of experience, though a first-timer with good research habits could manage it. The key is understanding that sativa-dominant plants behave differently from stocky indicas — they want to stretch, they respond well to training, and they reward patience. Here's the step-by-step:

  1. Germinate your Squirt seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a propagation plug. Keep temperatures around 22–26°C and maintain humidity above 70% until the taproot appears — usually within 24–72 hours.
  2. Transplant seedlings into their first pot (0.5–1L) once the taproot is 1–2cm long. Use a light, well-aerated growing medium. Squirt isn't fussy about soil vs. coco, but good drainage is non-negotiable.
  3. During vegetative growth, keep your light cycle at 18/6. This is when you'll want to implement training — low-stress training (LST) or a ScrOG net works brilliantly to manage the sativa stretch and create an even canopy. Top once or twice if you've got the veg time.
  4. Flip to 12/12 when your plants have filled roughly 60–70% of your canopy space. Expect significant stretching in the first 2–3 weeks of flower — sometimes doubling in height. If you're in a tent, flip earlier than you think you need to.
  5. Around week 4–5 of flower, install support stakes or a trellis net. The buds on Squirt get dense and resinous, and branches will start to lean. Better to support them early than to find snapped limbs after lights-on.
  6. Harvest after approximately 50 days of flowering. Check trichomes with a jeweller's loupe — you're looking for mostly cloudy with a few amber heads for that energising sativa effect. Outdoors, aim for late September to early October depending on your latitude.
  7. Dry in a dark, well-ventilated space at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 10–14 days. Cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks, burping daily for the first few days. The raspberry and citrus terpenes really come alive after a proper cure.

Terpene Profile and Aroma of Squirt

This is where Squirt genuinely stands apart from the crowd. The terpene profile is dominated by sweet raspberry and tangerine — think of biting into a sour gummy sweet, but with a creamy, muffin-like undertone from the Blueberry Muffin parent. It's moreish in the truest sense. The sour citrus from Tangie keeps it from being cloying, and the overall effect on the nose is somewhere between a fruit smoothie and a bag of fizzy sweets.

For extraction, Squirt is a strong pick. The high resin production means you'll get solid returns from dry sift, bubble hash, or rosin pressing. The terpenes carry through into concentrates beautifully — we'd put Squirt up against strains bred specifically for extraction and it holds its own. If you're comparing flavour-focused genetics, Humboldt Seed Company's Blueberry Cupcake leans more purely into the sweet bakery side, while Squirt gives you that sour citrus contrast. It depends on whether you want dessert or a fruit salad.

Squirt vs Other Humboldt Seed Company Strains

Strain Genetics THC Flowering Time Indoor Yield Character
Squirt Blueberry Muffin x Tangie 20% ~50 days 450g/m² Sweet-sour fruit, energising sativa
Blueberry Cupcake Blueberry Muffin x Wedding Cake 20-25% 56-63 days 400-500g/m² Sweet bakery, more balanced hybrid
Hella Jelly Jelly Rancher genetics 20-25% 55-65 days 400-500g/m² Candy-sweet, potent hybrid

If you want the most sativa-forward experience with the shortest flowering time, Squirt is the pick. Blueberry Cupcake offers more body and a sweeter, less citrus-driven profile. Hella Jelly sits somewhere in between with candy-like sweetness and higher potency potential. All three are Humboldt Seed Company genetics, so consistency and resin production are a given across the board.

Complete your Squirt grow setup with a ScrOG net to manage that sativa stretch — it makes a real difference to canopy evenness and final yield. If you're planning to press rosin from those resinous buds, a set of 25-micron rosin bags will capture the terpene-rich trichomes without letting plant material through. And grab a jeweller's loupe for trichome checking — guessing harvest timing on a 50-day strain is a recipe for disappointment.
