With a 9-week flowering period and yields reaching 800g/m², she rewards patience and a bit of hands-on training. Keep your lights strong — she can handle high-intensity output and will convert it into dense, resinous colas.

One thing to watch: humidity. That thick trichome coverage means dense bud structure, and dense buds in a humid environment invite mould. Keep your extraction fan running properly and aim for 40–50% relative humidity during late flowering. A carbon filter isn't optional either — Moby Dick is loud.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors is where Moby Dick truly earns her name. Given space and sunshine, she'll grow into an absolute beast. Training her into a wide, bushy shape — low-stress training, topping, or simply letting her fill out naturally in open ground — is the best way to unlock her full potential. Outdoor plants can reach well over 2 metres and carry 800–1,200g of flower per plant. Harvest comes in early October in the Northern Hemisphere, so she suits Mediterranean and temperate climates best. If you're further north, keep an eye on autumn rains — again, those dense buds and moisture don't mix well.

What to Expect from Moby Dick: Effects and Flavour

This is a sativa-dominant hybrid, so the effect leans cerebral — sharp, focused, and mentally engaging. But the White Widow genetics pull it back into your body with a heavy, numbing relaxation that builds over the first hour and stays for several hours. It's not a one-note experience. You get the headiness of a Haze and the physical depth of an indica-leaning classic, layered on top of each other.

The flavour is spicy and pungent, with an earthy base and a sharpness on the exhale that sits on your palate. The aroma during the final weeks of flowering is intense — your carbon filter will be earning its keep. How to Grow Moby Dick Seeds

1. Germinate your Moby Dick feminised seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a starter plug. Keep temperatures between 22–26°C and maintain moisture without waterlogging. Taproots typically emerge within 24–72 hours.
2. Transplant seedlings into their growing medium once the taproot is 1–2cm long. Moby Dick responds well to soil, coco coir, and hydroponic setups. If you're new to growing, soil is the most forgiving option.
3. During vegetative growth, top the plant at least once to encourage lateral branching. For indoor ScrOG, begin weaving branches through the net once they reach the screen. Outdoors, use low-stress training to spread branches outward and create a wide canopy.
4. Switch to a 12/12 light cycle to trigger flowering indoors. Expect significant stretch during the first 2–3 weeks — keep at least 30–40cm between the canopy and your light to avoid bleaching.
5. Monitor humidity closely from week 5 onward. Drop to 40–50% RH to protect those dense, resin-heavy buds from mould. Ensure good airflow between colas.
6. Harvest after approximately 9 weeks of flowering indoors, or in early October outdoors. Look for milky-white trichomes with around 10–20% amber heads for a balanced effect. Dry slowly in a dark room at 18–20°C for 7–10 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks.
