Descojack Cannabis Seeds by Delicious Seeds

Descojack is a sativa-dominant feminised cannabis seed that pairs two legendary genetics — Unknown Kush and Jack Herer — into a single, outrageously productive hybrid. Delicious Seeds bred this one to hit hard on flavour, potency, and yield without asking you to wait forever. At 23% THC and a 10-week flowering time, it punches well above what most sativa-leaning strains deliver.

Descojack Genetics: Unknown Kush Meets Jack Herer

The lineage here is what makes Descojack stand out. Delicious Seeds took their multi-award-winning Unknown Kush — a strain that's built a serious reputation for resin production and exotic flavour — and crossed it with Jack Herer, one of the most celebrated sativa-dominant cultivars ever developed. The result is a 60/40 sativa-indica hybrid that inherits the best traits from both parents: the structural discipline and trichome coverage of the Kush side, and the uplifting, cerebral character of the Jack Herer lineage.

We've sold a lot of Delicious Seeds genetics over the years, and this is one of those crosses where you can genuinely taste both parents in the final product. That's not always the case with hybrids — sometimes one parent dominates entirely. Not here.

Descojack Flavour and Aroma Profile

Descojack's terpene profile is where things get interesting. The aroma blends intense Kush earthiness with the sharp, resinous spice you'd expect from a Jack Herer cross. When you break open a cured bud, you'll catch notes of exotic wood — sandalwood-adjacent, dense and warm — layered with a slightly acidic, metallic lemon edge that cuts through the sweetness. It's complex without being confusing. If you've grown Jack Herer before, you'll recognise that unmistakable pine-lemon sharpness, but the Unknown Kush parentage rounds it out with something darker and more aromatic.

The honest limitation: that metallic lemon note isn't for everyone. Some growers love it, some find it a bit sharp on the exhale. If you prefer purely sweet or fruity profiles, have a look at something like the Delicious Seeds Cotton Candy instead. But if you're after complexity and depth, Descojack delivers.

How to Grow Descojack Seeds

Descojack is a sativa-dominant hybrid that behaves better indoors than most sativa-leaning genetics. That 1m indoor height is manageable — you won't need to top aggressively or run a scrog net just to keep things under control, though both techniques will improve your canopy coverage and push yields closer to that 600g/m² ceiling.

Outdoors is where this plant really stretches its legs. Given 5 months of vegetative growth and decent light, Descojack can reach 3.5m and produce over a kilogram per plant. That's not marketing exaggeration — it's the kind of output you get from vigorous sativa genetics with proper feeding and space. Mid-October harvest means you'll want to keep an eye on late-season humidity if you're growing in northern Europe. Dense resin-coated flowers and autumn moisture aren't the best combination.

  1. Germinate your Descojack seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a starter plug. Maintain 22–25°C and keep the medium moist but not waterlogged.
  2. Transplant seedlings once they've developed 2–3 sets of true leaves. Use a well-draining medium — coco-perlite mixes or light organic soil both work well with this strain.
  3. During vegetative growth, consider topping once or twice to encourage lateral branching. Descojack responds well to low-stress training (LST) indoors, which helps maximise light penetration across the canopy.
  4. Switch to a 12/12 light cycle to trigger flowering. The 10-week flowering period is short for a 60% sativa — mark your calendar and start monitoring trichome development from week 8 onwards.
  5. Feed with a bloom-specific nutrient schedule during flowering. Descojack is a heavy feeder given its yield potential, so don't be shy with phosphorus and potassium in the mid-to-late flowering stage.
  6. Flush for the final 7–10 days before harvest to improve flavour and smoothness. The exotic wood and lemon terpenes come through much cleaner with a proper flush.
  7. Harvest when trichomes show a mix of milky white and amber. Dry slowly at 18–20°C with 55–60% humidity for 10–14 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks.

Descojack Yield and Performance: What to Actually Expect

The numbers on paper are impressive: 500–600g/m² indoors and 1,000g+ outdoors. From what we've seen, indoor growers consistently hit the 500g mark with a standard setup — decent LED or HPS, proper ventilation, and attentive feeding. Pushing past 550g/m² typically requires either a SOG/SCROG setup or dialling in your environment to near-perfect VPD levels.

Outdoors, the 1,000g figure is realistic in Mediterranean or similarly warm climates with long summers. In the Netherlands or the UK, you're more likely looking at 600–800g per plant unless you've got a particularly sheltered, south-facing spot. Still enormous by any standard.

The resin production deserves a mention on its own. Descojack coats its flowers — and a good portion of its sugar leaves — in a thick layer of trichomes. If you're into making dry sift, bubble hash, or rosin, this is one of the better strains for it. The trichome heads are large and relatively easy to separate, and the terpene profile carries through into concentrates beautifully.

Descojack Effects: 23% THC in a Balanced Package

At 23% THC, Descojack is not a casual smoke. The effect follows a classic sativa-to-indica arc: it opens with a cerebral onset characterised by mental clarity and a creative, focused headspace. This isn't a racy, anxiety-inducing sativa rush — it's more of a smooth wave that lifts your mood and sharpens your attention. After 30–45 minutes, the indica side of the genetics starts to make itself known with a deep physical relaxation that spreads gradually from the shoulders down.

According to research reviewed in the pharmacological literature, THC has been identified as the primary psychoactive cannabinoid responsible for these effects (Borgelt et al., 2013; PubMed ID: 23386598). The balanced sativa-indica profile in Descojack means the experience doesn't tip too heavily in either direction — you're not couch-locked, but you're not wired either.

One thing to watch: the 23% THC content means less experienced users should approach with respect. The onset is smooth enough that it's easy to underestimate, and the body relaxation that follows can be quite heavy if you've overdone it.

Descojack vs Jack Herer: How Does the Cross Compare?

Trait Descojack Jack Herer (standard)
Genetics Unknown Kush x Jack Herer Haze x (Northern Lights #5 x Shiva Skunk)
THC 23% 18–21%
Flowering Time 10 weeks 10–12 weeks
Indoor Yield 500–600g/m² 400–500g/m²
Indoor Height ~1m 1–1.5m
Flavour Exotic wood, metallic lemon, Kush earthiness Pine, spice, lemon
Resin Production Very high High

The Unknown Kush parentage gives Descojack a noticeable edge in three areas: THC content, yield, and resin production. It also keeps the plant shorter and more compact indoors — something Jack Herer can struggle with, especially the stretchier phenotypes. If you love Jack Herer's cerebral character but want more weight in the jar and more resin on the flowers, Descojack is the logical upgrade.

Growing Descojack indoors? Pair it with a proper carbon filter and extraction fan — those Kush-lemon terpenes are pungent, and your neighbours will notice. A complete grow tent kit gives you climate control, light containment, and odour management sorted from day one. If you're planning to process Descojack's abundant trichomes into hash, a set of bubble bags or a pollen press will help you make the most of that resin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Descojack take to flower?

Descojack has a flowering time of 10 weeks indoors, which is notably short for a 60% sativa hybrid. Outdoors, plants are ready for harvest around mid-October.

Is Descojack suitable for indoor growing?

Yes. Despite being sativa-dominant, Descojack stays around 1m tall indoors — very manageable. It responds well to topping and LST, and yields up to 600g/m² with proper technique.

What does Descojack taste like?

Expect exotic wood and Kush earthiness with a sharp, slightly acidic metallic lemon edge. The flavour is complex — both parents come through clearly. It's best appreciated after a proper 2-week cure.

Can I use Descojack for making hash or concentrates?

Absolutely — it's one of the better strains for extraction. The flowers and sugar leaves are coated in large, easily separable trichomes. Dry sift, bubble hash, and rosin all work well with this genetics.

How does Descojack compare to growing pure Jack Herer?

Descojack is shorter, higher in THC (23% vs 18–21%), yields more per square metre, and finishes in the same or less time. The Unknown Kush cross adds resin production and a more complex flavour without sacrificing the cerebral Jack Herer character.

How many Descojack seeds come in a pack?

Each pack contains 3 feminised seeds. All seeds are photoperiod — they require a 12/12 light switch to begin flowering.

What yield can I realistically expect outdoors in northern Europe?

In the Netherlands or UK, expect 600–800g per plant. The 1,000g+ figure from Delicious Seeds is achievable in warmer, Mediterranean-type climates with longer summers and more consistent light.
