Mimosa Feminised Seeds by Pure Instinto

Mimosa is a sativa-dominant feminised cannabis strain bred from Purple Punch and Clementine that delivers up to 27% THC alongside explosive citrus terpenes. If you want a grow that fills your tent with the smell of fresh-squeezed oranges and rewards you with genuinely staggering yields, this is the seed to drop. Pure Instinto crossed two heavy hitters here — the grape-candy sweetness of Purple Punch with the zesty Clementine — and the result is a plant that grows tall, produces generously, and smokes like a Saturday morning should feel.

Why Mimosa Feminised Seeds Deserve Your Grow Space

Mimosa feminised seeds produce plants that genuinely earn the word "monster." We've seen a lot of sativa-dominant strains promise big and deliver medium — this one actually follows through. Outdoors, with enough root space and sunlight, a single Mimosa plant can push harvests up to 1500 g. That's not a typo. Indoors under a decent light setup, you're looking at 500–700 g/m², which is still well above average for most strains in this category.

The genetics explain a lot. Purple Punch brings dense bud structure and that deep, resinous coating you want for potency. Clementine contributes the stretch, the vigour, and those citrus terpenes that hit you the moment you crack a jar open. Together, they've produced a plant that wants to grow — she'll stretch past 200 cm without much encouragement, so if you're running a shorter tent, plan your training early. Top her, LST her, do whatever you need to keep the canopy manageable. She responds well to it.

The honest limitation? She's not a set-and-forget strain. That sativa stretch means you need vertical space or confident training skills. If you're growing in a 120 cm tent with no experience topping plants, Mimosa will outgrow you before week four of flower. An 180 cm tent minimum, or outdoor growing, is the move here.

Mimosa Flavour and Terpene Profile

This is where Mimosa really separates herself from the pack. Light up a properly cured nug and the first thing you get is a wave of fresh orange — not artificial, not candy-like, but the actual smell of peeling a ripe clementine on a cold morning. It's bright and immediate. On the exhale, there's a shift toward pine and herbal undertones that ground the whole experience and stop it from being one-dimensional.

We'd compare the inhale to biting into a slice of bread with homemade orange marmalade — sweet, tangy, unmistakably citrus. The exhale brings you back down with woody, almost resinous notes. If you've grown Tangie or any Clementine cross before, imagine that profile but thicker, denser, with more depth from the Purple Punch side. It's the best citrus strain we've stocked for growers who actually care about terps as much as THC numbers.

Growing Mimosa Feminised Seeds: What to Expect

Mimosa feminised seeds are bred for growers who want a proper sativa experience without the 14-week flowering times that usually come with it. At 10–11 weeks of flowering indoors, she's faster than most sativa-dominant strains, though still slower than your typical indica. Plan accordingly.

  1. Germinate your Mimosa seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a starter plug — she germinates reliably within 48–72 hours.
  2. Transplant seedlings into their final container once the first true leaves appear. For indoor grows, 15–20 litre pots work well. Outdoors, go as large as you can — 50 litres or directly in the ground.
  3. Begin low-stress training (LST) early in veg. Mimosa stretches hard in the first 2–3 weeks of flower, so controlling her height during veg saves headaches later.
  4. Switch to 12/12 light cycle when the plant reaches roughly one-third of your available vertical space — she can double or triple in height during the stretch.
  5. Feed generously during flower. With yields this large, she's a hungry plant. A good PK booster in weeks 4–6 of flower makes a noticeable difference.
  6. Flush for the final 10–14 days before harvest. Those citrus terps come through cleanest when there's no residual nutrient taste muddying the smoke.
  7. Harvest when trichomes show roughly 70–80% milky with minimal amber — this preserves the uplifting, energetic effect Mimosa is known for.
  8. Dry slowly in a dark room at 18–20°C with 55–60% humidity for 10–14 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks. The citrus terpenes develop beautifully during a proper cure.

Mimosa vs Other Citrus Strains: How She Compares

If you're weighing Mimosa against other citrus-forward strains, here's the short version: she yields more, hits harder, and tastes at least as good. A lot of Tangie crosses deliver on flavour but top out around 20–22% THC and give you moderate yields. Mimosa pushes to 27% THC and produces up to 1500 g outdoors — that's a different league entirely.

Trait Mimosa (Pure Instinto) Typical Tangie Cross
THC Up to 27% 20–22%
Flowering time 10–11 weeks 9–10 weeks
Indoor yield 500–700 g/m² 400–500 g/m²
Outdoor yield Up to 1500 g/plant 600–800 g/plant
Dominant terps Orange, pine, herbs Tangerine, sweet citrus
Grow difficulty Moderate (height management) Easy–moderate

The trade-off is that extra week of flowering and the height management. If your setup handles tall plants, Mimosa wins on every other metric.

Complete your grow setup with a proper carbon filter — when Mimosa hits mid-flower, the citrus terps fill an entire room. A reliable pH meter and a quality PK booster will also help you get the most out of those XL yields.
