How to Germinate Your Free Feminized Seeds

1. Soak your seeds in a glass of room-temperature water (20-22°C) for 12-18 hours. They should sink to the bottom — give stubborn floaters a gentle tap.
2. Transfer the soaked seeds to a damp paper towel. Fold the towel over them and place it on a plate. Cover with a second plate to keep moisture in and light out.
3. Check every 12 hours. Keep the towel moist but not dripping. Within 24-72 hours, you should see a white taproot emerge — aim for 1-2 cm before planting.
4. Plant each germinated seed taproot-down in a small pot of lightly moistened seedling soil or a jiffy pellet. Cover with about 0.5-1 cm of soil.
5. Place under gentle light (a CFL or low-power LED at 40-50 cm distance works well). Keep the soil moist, not waterlogged. Seedlings should break the surface within 2-5 days.
6. Once your seedling has 2-3 sets of true leaves, transplant to its final pot or growing medium. Switch to an 18/6 light schedule for vegetative growth.

Room temperature matters more than most beginners realise. Below 18°C, germination slows dramatically. Above 28°C, you risk cooking the embryo. A heat mat set to 22°C under your plate setup is the best investment you'll make for consistent germination rates — we've seen growers jump from 60% to 95%+ success just by controlling temperature.
