AK-47 Auto delivers a pungent, unmistakable flavour that leans heavily into diesel and pine. Crack open a cured jar and the room fills with that sharp, fuel-like tang cut through with resinous forest notes. On the inhale, the diesel dominates — thick, almost acrid in the way that proper fuel strains should be. The exhale softens into pine and a subtle earthiness that rounds out the profile. It's not a sweet or fruity strain. If you like your smoke to taste like it means business, this one delivers.

The terpene profile here is what you'd expect from AK-47 lineage: myrcene and caryophyllene doing the heavy lifting, with pinene adding that coniferous sharpness. 1. Germinate your AK-47 Auto seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a small pot of moist, light soil. Taproots typically show within 24–72 hours.
2. Transplant seedlings into their final container early — autoflowers don't love being repotted once established. An 11–15 litre fabric pot works well for indoor grows.
3. Provide 18–20 hours of light throughout the entire cycle. Unlike photoperiod strains, AK-47 Auto doesn't need a light schedule change to trigger flowering.
4. Keep feeding light during the first 2–3 weeks. Switch to bloom nutrients once you see the first pre-flowers forming, typically around week 3–4.
5. Monitor humidity closely during late flower — those dense, resinous buds can trap moisture. Aim for 40–50% relative humidity in the final weeks to avoid mould.
6. Harvest when 70–80% of trichomes have turned milky with a few amber ones appearing. This usually falls between week 8 and week 10 from germination.
7. Dry slowly in a dark room at 18–20°C for 7–10 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks. The diesel and pine flavours develop significantly during a proper cure.

One thing to watch: don't top autoflowers aggressively. AK-47 Auto responds better to low-stress training (LST) — gently bending stems outward to open up the canopy. Topping can stunt an auto's growth since there's no way to extend the vegetative phase to recover. We've seen growers lose 2–3 weeks of growth from a badly timed top on an auto, and with only 8–10 weeks total, that's time you can't get back.

AK-47 Auto Yield Expectations

Indoor growers working a 1m² space under a decent LED can realistically pull 400–500 g/m² from AK-47 Auto. That's strong for an autoflower — many autos sit in the 300–400 g/m² range, so the AK-47 genetics genuinely push yields above average. Outdoors, plan for 70–80 g per plant as a baseline. Plants that get full sun, good soil, and consistent feeding can exceed this, with some growers reporting results closer to 100–150 g per plant in optimal conditions.

The compact 100 cm maximum outdoor height means you can fit more plants into a given area compared to taller sativa-leaning autos. In a Sea of Green (SOG) setup indoors, running 9 plants per square metre in smaller pots can maximise your canopy coverage and push total yields toward the upper end of that 500 g/m² figure.
