OCB Rolling Papers on Roll — 4 Metres of Ultra-Thin Flax Paper

OCB Rolling Papers on Roll is a continuous 4-metre strip of ultra-thin, pure flax rolling paper that lets you tear off exactly the length you want — from a standard single-skin to an absurdly long party piece. At 45mm wide, it sits in the sweet spot for hand-rolling, and the whole thing comes wrapped in recycled cardboard that fits neatly in a jacket pocket.

Complete your rolling setup with OCB filter tips for a cleaner draw, or grab a rolling tray to keep your surfaces clean. If you prefer pre-shaped papers, we carry OCB Slim and OCB Virgin booklets as well — good to have a backup when you don't fancy freestyling the length.

Why a Roll Beats a Booklet for Rolling Papers

Standard booklets give you a fixed paper size — usually king-size slim or single-wide. That works 90% of the time, but the moment you want something shorter for a quick solo smoke or something ridiculously long for a group session, you're stuck tearing or doubling up. The OCB on Roll solves that in the most straightforward way possible: you just tear off what you need.

The flax paper itself is noticeably thin. Hold a sheet up to the light and you can practically read through it. That thinness means less paper taste and a slower, more even burn — the smoke stays cleaner because you're combusting less cellulose per centimetre. We've noticed flax papers tend to hold their shape better than rice papers when you're licking the gum line, too. They don't go floppy the second they get damp, which matters if you're rolling outdoors on a drizzly Amsterdam afternoon.

The honest limitation? There's no gum strip. You'll need to either use a tiny strip from a regular paper as a glue line, or lick-and-stick old-school style with a bit of saliva along the edge. It takes a touch more skill than a pre-gummed sheet. If you've never rolled without a gum line before, expect a learning curve of about three attempts before it clicks.

How to Roll with OCB Papers on a Roll

  1. Pull out the desired length of paper from the recycled cardboard dispenser. For a standard cigarette-sized roll, tear off roughly 7–8cm. For something more ambitious, go 15–20cm or beyond — the roll gives you 4 full metres to play with.
  2. Tear the paper cleanly along the serrated edge of the dispenser box. A steady, even pull gives a straighter edge than a quick rip.
  3. Place your filter tip (if using one) at one end of the paper. Distribute your tobacco or herb evenly along the paper's length — don't overpack. A loose, even spread burns far better than a stuffed tube.
  4. Roll between your thumbs and index fingers, tucking the near edge of the paper under the material. Because there's no pre-applied gum strip, moisten the far edge lightly with your tongue and press it down firmly.
  5. Twist or fold the open end shut, light up, and enjoy. If the seal feels loose on your first attempt, a thin strip of gummed paper from a regular booklet works as a backup adhesive.
