How to Use the Futurola King Size Roller
The whole process takes about 20-30 seconds once you've done it twice. Here's the step-by-step:
- Open the Futurola by separating the two halves. You'll see the roller apron stretched between them.
- Pack your tobacco, herbs, or smokeable blend evenly along the length of the roller. Don't overstuff — leave a millimetre or two of space at each end. For a fatter joint, pack more; for a thinner one, use less.
- Place a filter tip at either end of the loaded tube. A standard cardboard roach or a pre-rolled tip both work.
- Close the Futurola and roll the front roller towards you 4-5 times. This pre-shapes the contents into a cylinder. You'll feel the material compacting slightly — that's what you want.
- Slide a King Size rolling paper into the gap between the rollers, gum strip facing you and pointing upward. Roll the front roller towards you slowly. The paper feeds in and wraps around the contents.
- Keep rolling until only the gummed edge is visible. Lick the gum strip, then give it one final roll to seal.
- Open the Futurola and pull out your finished joint. Tap one end gently on a flat surface to settle the contents, twist the tip if you like, and you're done.
Too fine and it packs like concrete — tight draw, harsh smoke. Too chunky and it won't compress evenly. A medium grind, roughly the texture of dried oregano, is the sweet spot for the Futurola.
