Black Cream Auto Cannabis Seeds by Sweet Seeds

Black Cream Auto is a feminized autoflowering cannabis seed from Sweet Seeds that produces compact, resin-drenched plants with stunning dark purple buds. Born from a cross between an exotic autoflowering variety with purple flowers and Pakistani Kush ancestry and the original Cream Caramel, this indica-dominant auto goes from germination to harvest in just 8 weeks. About 80% of plants develop reddish and purple hues so deep that the dried buds appear almost black — genuinely one of the most visually striking autos we've come across in over 25 years of stocking seeds.

Choose Your Pack Size

Black Cream Auto seeds come in two pack sizes. The 3-seed pack is a solid choice if you want to run a small test grow or you're tight on space — three plants in a 60x60 tent works nicely. The 5-seed pack gives you better odds of finding that deep-purple phenotype (remember, roughly 1 in 5 plants stays green), and you'll have a spare or two if germination doesn't go perfectly.

Why Black Cream Auto Seeds Deserve a Spot in Your Grow

Most autoflowers are workhorses — reliable, fast, but visually unremarkable. Black Cream Auto breaks that pattern. Sweet Seeds crossed their Cream Caramel (a strain that already earned a reputation for sweet, caramel-forward terps) with an exotic auto carrying Pakistani Kush genetics and purple colouration. The result is a plant that doesn't just produce well — it looks extraordinary doing it.

The buds on a mature Black Cream Auto are dense, compact, and coated in a thick layer of resin. When the temperature drops slightly during late flowering, the anthocyanins really kick in: leaves and calyxes shift from green to deep reddish-purple, and after drying, the buds take on a colour so dark they're nearly black. The aroma follows suit — very sweet and fruity with earthy undertones inherited from the Cream Caramel parent. If you've grown Cream Caramel before, you'll recognise that signature sweetness, but with a darker, more complex edge.

One honest limitation: that 80% purple phenotype figure means roughly 1 in 5 plants will stay green. Still a perfectly good plant with the same yield and resin production, but if the colour is your main motivation, pop a few extra seeds to guarantee you get the purple show. Compared to Sweet Seeds' Dark Devil Auto (which leans more towards red tones), Black Cream Auto goes deeper into the purple-black spectrum and tends to produce a denser bud structure thanks to the Cream Caramel influence.

Black Cream Auto Grow Specs and Yield

Black Cream Auto finishes in approximately 8 weeks from germination — that's seed to harvest, not just flowering time. For an autoflower, the yields are genuinely impressive relative to its compact stature.

The indoor yield range of 350–550 g/m² is wide because growing conditions matter enormously with autos. Under a decent LED at 20/4 light schedule with proper feeding, you'll land towards the upper end. Outdoors, the 35–150g per plant range reflects the difference between a balcony grow in Northern Europe versus a sunny Mediterranean terrace. The plant's short internodal spacing means it develops many smaller compact buds along its branches, with an impressively large central cola dominating the canopy.

How to Grow Black Cream Auto Seeds

  1. Germination: Soak seeds in a glass of water for 12–24 hours, then transfer to damp paper towels in a warm spot (22–25°C). Taproots usually appear within 48–72 hours.
  2. Pot selection: Plant directly into the final container — autos don't like transplanting. An 11-litre fabric pot is the sweet spot for Black Cream Auto. Going bigger than 15 litres rarely adds yield with autos this compact.
  3. Lighting: Run 18/6 or 20/4 throughout the entire life cycle. Black Cream Auto doesn't need a light schedule change to trigger flowering — it'll do that on its own around week 3.
  4. Feeding: Start light. Autos are sensitive to overfeeding in the first two weeks. Introduce bloom nutrients once you see the first pistils, and keep nitrogen moderate — these indica-dominant plants don't stretch much.
  5. Temperature trick for colour: To maximise those purple and black hues, drop nighttime temperatures to 15–18°C during the final 2–3 weeks of flowering. This encourages anthocyanin expression. Not strictly necessary — 80% will colour up regardless — but it deepens the effect.
  6. Harvest timing: At roughly 8 weeks from germination, check trichomes with a loupe. Milky trichomes with 10–20% amber is the standard window. The dark bud colour can make visual assessment tricky, so a jeweller's loupe is not optional here.
  7. Drying and curing: Dry slowly at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 10–14 days. The sweet, fruity aroma with earthy Cream Caramel undertones develops properly only with a patient cure — at least 2 weeks in jars, burping daily.

Complete your grow setup: If you're running Black Cream Auto indoors, pair these seeds with a complete grow tent kit — tent, light, and ventilation sorted in one go. For outdoor growers, a good fabric pot and organic soil mix will let this strain's terpene profile really shine. A jeweller's loupe is also worth grabbing — the dark bud colour makes trichome checking harder than usual.
