Amur Giant Auto Cannabis Seeds by Kalashnikov Seeds

Amur Giant Auto is a sativa-dominant autoflowering feminised cannabis seed from Kalashnikov Seeds that crosses Jack Herer and Power Plant genetics with a rare eastern Russian Amur ruderalis. The result is a resin-drenched autoflower that hits 19% THC and yields up to 600g/m² indoors — serious numbers for an auto. It takes a bit longer than your average ruderalis hybrid to finish, but the extra wait pays off in frosty, trichome-loaded colas that smell like Jack Herer met a lemon-berry smoothie.

Running autos indoors? Pair these seeds with a complete grow tent kit — tent, light, fan, and carbon filter sorted in one go. For outdoor grows, a fabric pot (25-30L) gives roots room to spread and improves drainage, which autos appreciate since they can't afford transplant stress.

Why Amur Giant Auto Seeds Deserve a Spot in Your Grow Room

Most autoflowers are bred for speed, and that's fair enough. You get a quick turnaround and decent bud. But "decent" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. The trade-off with fast autos is usually potency and flavour — they finish in 55 days and taste like it. Amur Giant Auto takes a different approach. By crossing two legendary photoperiod strains (Jack Herer and Power Plant) and stabilising the auto trait through an Amur ruderalis from eastern Russia, Kalashnikov Seeds have built an autoflower that genuinely competes with photoperiod harvests.

The 65-75 day cycle is longer than your typical auto, and we'd be lying if we said that doesn't test your patience. But those extra days are where the magic happens. The sativa genetics need time to stack resin, develop terpenes, and fill out those long, elegant colas. At 19% THC and yields pushing 600g/m² under expert indoor conditions, this isn't an autoflower that apologises for being an autoflower. It's the best autoflowering Jack Herer cross we've seen for growers who want photoperiod-quality results without managing light schedules.

The one honest watch-out: because of the strong sativa lean, this plant grows tall for an auto. Outdoors it can reach 1.5 metres, and indoors you'll want to account for vertical space. If you're working with a 60x60 tent with limited headroom, this might not be your best match — look at a more compact indica-dominant auto instead. But if you've got an 80x80 or larger with decent height, Amur Giant Auto will fill it beautifully.

Amur Giant Auto Genetics and Growing Characteristics

The parent genetics here tell you almost everything you need to know. Jack Herer brings that unmistakable sativa structure — cerebral, resinous, aromatic — while Power Plant adds vigour and yield potential that Jack alone sometimes lacks. The Amur ruderalis is the clever bit. Sourced from the far east of Russia where summers are short and brutal, this ruderalis variety triggers autoflowering without dragging potency down the way many ruderalis introductions do.

Visually, these plants look sativa through and through. Expect well-spaced, angular fan leaves with a lighter green tone than you'd see on an indica. The internodal spacing gives good light penetration to lower bud sites, which helps explain the strong yields. As flowering progresses, distinctive towers of calyxes swell together into long, structured colas. The pistils run long — yellow and orange tinged — and by late flower, you'll struggle to see the leaves and stems beneath the blanket of trichomes. Resin production on this strain is genuinely impressive. Stems, sugar leaves, even fan leaves near the buds get a visible frosting.

The aroma follows the Jack Herer lineage closely: that classic spicy, earthy Haze backbone, but with an added lemon-berry twist that keeps things interesting. When you crack open a cured nug, the citrus notes hit first, followed by a deeper, almost peppery undertone. It's a terpene profile that screams sativa — bright, sharp, and complex.

How to Grow Amur Giant Auto Seeds

  1. Germinate seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a small pot of lightly moistened seedling soil. Autoflowers don't like transplanting — if you start in a small pot, move to the final container within the first week before the taproot establishes.
  2. Use a final container of 11-15 litres for indoor grows or 20-30 litres outdoors. Fabric pots work well for autos because they air-prune roots and prevent the circling that stunts growth in plastic pots.
  3. Run 18-20 hours of light throughout the entire cycle. Autos don't need a light schedule change to flower, but they do appreciate long days. An 18/6 light-dark cycle balances energy use with growth.
  4. Keep feeding light during the first 2-3 weeks. Autoflowers have a short vegetative window and overfeeding early is the single most common mistake we see. Start at half the recommended nutrient strength and increase gradually once flowering begins.
  5. Expect visible pre-flowers around day 20-25. From here, the plant shifts energy into bud production. Increase phosphorus and potassium levels while tapering nitrogen.
  6. Monitor trichome colour from day 60 onwards using a jeweller's loupe or USB microscope. Mostly cloudy trichomes with 10-20% amber is the standard harvest window for a balanced effect. Given the 65-75 day range, check daily from day 60 — don't harvest early just because you're impatient.
  7. Dry in a dark, well-ventilated space at 18-21°C and 55-60% humidity for 7-10 days. Cure in glass jars for a minimum of 2 weeks, burping daily for the first week. The lemon-berry terpene profile really opens up after a proper cure.
