Bubba Slush Cannabis Seeds by Greenhouse Seeds

Bubba Slush is a feminised cannabis seed from Greenhouse Seeds that crosses a pre-'98 Bubba Kush mother with a reversed Gelato from their own phenotype selection. The result is a resin-heavy indica hybrid with dark chocolate and creamy fuel flavours, a 65-day flowering time indoors, and a physical stone that keeps your head clear. Old-school Cali dankness meets modern Cookies genetics — and the flavour profile alone makes this one worth growing.

Bubba Slush feminised seeds come in three pack sizes. Grab 3 seeds if you want a single-tent run or a quick pheno hunt. The 5-pack gives you room to select the best performer while keeping a mother. Go for 10 if you're filling a larger space or want to find that one standout phenotype — with genetics this flavourful, it's worth the search.

Bubba Slush Grow Specs and Genetics

Greenhouse Seeds built Bubba Slush by taking an original pre-'98 Bubba Kush cut — one of the most respected indica lines from the West Coast — and crossing it with a reversed Gelato selected from their own pheno library. That Gelato reversal brings the Cookies family's creamy sweetness and resin production into the mix without losing the dark, earthy backbone of Bubba Kush.

The plant itself stays short and bushy with broad indica leaves — typical Bubba Kush structure. She won't stretch much, which makes her a solid choice for tents with limited vertical space. During the later weeks of flowering, expect the buds to colour up nicely. Dense, tightly packed flowers coated in resin. If you run hash or press rosin, this is exactly the kind of input material you want.

Running Bubba Slush indoors? Pair your seeds with a complete grow tent kit to dial in the environment from day one. A carbon filter is non-negotiable once those Kush terps start filling the room — trust us, your neighbours will notice. If you're pressing hash from the trim, a set of bubble bags will make the most of that generous resin production.

Flavour and Aroma: Dark Chocolate Meets Creamy Fuel

Bubba Slush delivers one of the more interesting terpene profiles we've come across in an indica-dominant strain. The Bubba Kush side brings deep, dark chocolate notes — that earthy, almost coffee-like dankness that old-school Kush heads will recognise immediately. The Gelato parentage layers sweet creaminess on top, with a fuel-like edge that lingers on the exhale. It's not subtle. Crack open a jar of dried Bubba Slush and the room fills up.

The combination works because the two parents complement rather than compete. Where Bubba Kush on its own can be almost too earthy, the Gelato sweetness rounds it out. And where Gelato can sometimes lean too dessert-like, the Kush depth gives it weight. If you've grown Greenhouse Seeds' original Bubba Kush and wished it had a bit more complexity, this is the answer.

One honest note: the smell during flowering is intense. If you're growing indoors without proper carbon filtration, everyone in the building will know what you're up to by week five. Plan accordingly.

Why Grow Bubba Slush Feminised Seeds

There's no shortage of indica-dominant strains on the market, so what makes this one worth your time and tent space? Three things.

First, the genetics are genuinely interesting. Pre-'98 Bubba Kush is a cut with decades of reputation behind it — it's not a name Greenhouse Seeds is using loosely. Crossing that with their own Gelato selection means you're getting proven parentage on both sides, not a hype cross with unknown breeding stock. The feminised format means every seed should produce a flowering female, so you're not wasting weeks on males.

Second, the grow characteristics suit real-world setups. A 65-day flowering period is short enough to fit two runs in a season indoors. The bushy, compact structure means you can run her in an 80x80 tent without height issues. Outdoors, 150–170 cm is manageable and the 650 g/plant potential at the end of October is serious weight for a plant that size. She's not fussy — she just wants to grow, pack on resin, and finish.

Third, the effect. We've all grown indicas that glue you to the sofa so hard you can't even follow a film. Bubba Slush reportedly keeps the mind clear while the body melts. That's a meaningful difference. You get the heavy, happy physical relaxation without the foggy head. Not a daytime smoke by any means, but brilliant for evenings when you still want to hold a conversation or actually enjoy what you're watching.

Compared to Greenhouse Seeds' other indica offerings like their original Bubba Kush, Bubba Slush adds that Gelato creaminess and a touch more complexity. If you want something even heavier on the Cookies side, their Gelato strains are worth a look — but for that classic Kush foundation with a modern twist, Bubba Slush sits in a sweet spot.

How to Grow Bubba Slush Seeds

  1. Germinate your feminised Bubba Slush seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a starter plug. Keep temperatures around 22–25°C and maintain moisture without waterlogging. Taproots typically emerge within 24–72 hours.
  2. Transplant seedlings into their vegetative medium once the taproot is 1–2 cm long. Bubba Slush stays short and bushy, so if you're growing indoors, a 3–4 week veg period is usually enough before flipping to 12/12.
  3. Consider low-stress training (LST) or a light defoliation during veg to open up the canopy. The broad indica leaves can shade lower bud sites, and a bit of airflow through the middle helps prevent moisture buildup in those dense flowers later on.
  4. Switch to a 12/12 light cycle to trigger flowering. Bubba Slush finishes in roughly 65 days from the flip. Watch for colour changes in the later weeks — the flowers develop beautiful hues as they mature.
  5. Monitor humidity closely during the final 2–3 weeks. Those dense, resinous buds are magnets for mould if relative humidity creeps above 50%. Good airflow and a dehumidifier are your friends here.
  6. Harvest when trichomes show a mix of milky and amber under magnification. For outdoor growers, expect to chop around the end of October. Dry slowly at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 10–14 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks.
  7. Save your trim. With resin production this generous, even the sugar leaves are worth processing into dry sift or bubble hash. You'd be throwing away good material otherwise.
