Diesel Berry Cough Cannabis Seeds by Garden of Green

Diesel Berry Cough is a sativa-dominant feminised cannabis seed strain from Garden of Green that crosses two heavyweights — Strawberry Cough and NYC Diesel — into one sweet, fuel-tinged cultivar. With an 8-week flowering time indoors and yields up to 450g/m², this is the kind of seed that rewards you without demanding a PhD in horticulture. Available in packs of 3 or 5 feminised seeds.

Sativa-dominant Feminised seeds 8-week flowering 400-450g/m² yield 18+ only

Pack Sizes

Diesel Berry Cough comes in two pack sizes: 3 seeds or 5 seeds. If you're running a single tent or just want to pheno-hunt a couple of plants, the 3-pack does the job. The 5-pack gives you better value per seed and a spare or two in case germination doesn't go your way — which, with feminised seeds from a reputable bank, is rare but not impossible.

Complete your grow setup: If you're popping these seeds indoors, pair them with a Dark Box grow tent and a carbon filter — Diesel Berry Cough's fuel-and-berry aroma is loud enough that your neighbours will have questions. A good set of plant ties or a scrog net will also help manage the stretch this sativa-leaning strain is known for.

Why Diesel Berry Cough Seeds Deserve a Spot in Your Grow Room

Garden of Green built this cross with a clear goal: take the sweet strawberry terps of Strawberry Cough, bolt on the diesel backbone of NYC Diesel, and wrap it all in a plant that doesn't fight you during the grow. They've landed it. Diesel Berry Cough is the kind of strain that makes you look like a better grower than you are — forgiving on feed schedules, adaptable to both soil and hydro, and done flowering in 8 weeks flat.

The sativa dominance shows in the structure. Expect tall, branchy growth with long internodal spacing. She wants to stretch, and she will — especially in the first two weeks of flower. This is where the one honest limitation comes in: if you're working in a small tent (60x60 or similar), you need to train early and often. LST, topping, or a scrog net are your friends here. Without them, you'll be fighting your light distance by week 4 of flower. We've seen growers underestimate sativa stretch before, and it always ends the same way — bleached tops and wasted light.

That said, if you give her the room or manage the canopy, the payoff is solid. 400–450g/m² indoors from an 8-week flower is a strong return. Outdoor growers in warmer climates can expect comparable harvests when conditions cooperate — plenty of direct sun and a long enough season to let her finish.

Flavour and Aroma Profile of Diesel Berry Cough

This is where Diesel Berry Cough really earns its name. Crack open a cured jar and the first thing that hits you is ripe strawberry — not candy-sweet, more like actual sun-warmed berries with a slightly tart edge. Underneath that, the NYC Diesel parent makes itself known: a sharp, acrid fuel note that cuts through the sweetness and gives the whole profile a savoury depth. It's a combination that works better than it sounds on paper.

The flavour carries through whether you're using a dry herb vaporiser or rolling the traditional way. Through a vape at lower temperatures (around 180°C), the strawberry notes come forward more clearly. Crank it up or combust, and the diesel takes over. Either way, it's a moreish smoke — the kind where you keep going back to the jar just to smell it again.

For comparison, if you've grown Strawberry Cough on its own, expect a bolder, more complex profile here. The Diesel parentage adds a layer that pure Strawberry Cough doesn't have. And if you've run NYC Diesel before, think of Diesel Berry Cough as the friendlier, sweeter sibling.

Growing Diesel Berry Cough Seeds Indoors and Outdoors

Diesel Berry Cough is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, and Garden of Green designed it to be accessible. Here's how to get the best from these feminised seeds in either environment.

  1. Germination: Use the paper towel method or plant directly into a starter plug. Feminised seeds from Garden of Green have strong germination rates, but keep your medium moist (not soaked) and temperatures around 22–25°C.
  2. Vegetative phase: Start training early. Top once above the 4th or 5th node to encourage lateral branching and control the sativa stretch. LST (low-stress training) works well here — bend and tie the main stem to open up the canopy.
  3. Flip to flower: Switch to 12/12 light when plants reach roughly half your target final height. Diesel Berry Cough will stretch 50–100% in the first 2 weeks of flower, so plan accordingly.
  4. Flowering (8 weeks): Feed with a bloom-phase nutrient schedule. Watch for the classic sativa fade in the final 2 weeks — fan leaves yellowing off is normal. Keep humidity below 50% in late flower to protect those dense buds.
  5. Harvest and dry: At 8 weeks, check trichomes with a loupe. Mostly cloudy with a few amber heads is the sweet spot for this strain's uplifting character. Dry slowly at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 10–14 days, then cure in jars for at least 2 weeks.
  6. Outdoor timing: In the Northern Hemisphere, plant out after the last frost (May in most of Europe). Harvest typically falls in mid-to-late October depending on latitude. Full sun and good airflow are critical for outdoor success.
