Auto Duck Cannabis Seeds by Dutch Passion
Auto Duck is a stealth autoflowering cannabis strain from Dutch Passion that grows leaves shaped like a duck's foot — making her almost unrecognisable as cannabis to the untrained eye. She's the autoflowering version of the popular Frisian Duck, crossed with Auto White Widow, and she delivers a surprisingly potent, long-lasting effect despite her low-profile appearance. If you're growing in a balcony pot, an allotment corner, or anywhere discretion matters, this is the seed you want in your hand.
Pack Sizes
| Pack | Seeds | SKU |
|---|---|---|
| Small pack | 3 feminised seeds | CSDP0087 |
| Standard pack | 7 feminised seeds | CSDP0156 |
The 3-pack is enough for a single balcony or guerrilla grow. Go with the 7-pack if you want to run a few plants and keep some seeds banked for next season — autoflower seeds store well in a cool, dark place for years.
Why Auto Duck Seeds Belong in Your Stash
Most cannabis plants announce themselves. Five-fingered fan leaves, that unmistakable silhouette — your neighbour's nan could spot it from across the garden fence. Auto Duck throws all of that out the window. Her leaves are webbed together at the base, creating a shape that genuinely looks more like a duck's foot or a random ornamental plant than anything from the Cannabis genus. During veg, you'd walk right past her without a second glance.
That camouflage isn't the only thing she has going for her. Dutch Passion crossed the photoperiod Frisian Duck with their Auto White Widow to build in autoflowering genetics and a solid hit of potency. White Widow has been a coffeeshop staple in Amsterdam since the mid-'90s for good reason — she's strong, reliable, and produces dense, resinous buds. Auto Duck inherits that backbone. The effect is powerful and long-lasting, which is not something you always get from stealth-oriented strains. We've seen plenty of "novelty" genetics over the years that sacrifice potency for a gimmick. This isn't one of them.
The honest limitation? Yields are decent but won't break records. If you're chasing maximum grams per plant, something like an Auto Ultimate or an Auto Glueberry OG will outproduce her. But that's not the point. Auto Duck is built for discretion first, and she delivers on that promise while still giving you proper bud worth smoking. That's the trade-off, and for most stealth growers, it's a trade-off worth making.

What Makes Auto Duck Different from Other Stealth Cannabis Seeds
There aren't many strains in the seed market designed specifically around visual camouflage. Most breeders focus on yield, potency, or flavour — and rightly so. But Dutch Passion identified a real gap: growers who need their plants to not look like cannabis. Auto Duck fills that gap better than anything else we've come across.
Compared to the photoperiod Frisian Duck (her parent strain), Auto Duck adds the convenience of autoflowering genetics. No need to manage light cycles, no risk of a stray streetlight triggering reveg. She'll flower on her own schedule regardless of how many hours of light she gets. That makes her brilliant for windowsills, balconies, and guerrilla spots where you can't control the environment.
Compared to a standard Auto White Widow, you're trading some yield for the stealth leaf shape and reduced odour. If nobody's going to see or smell your grow, the regular Auto White Widow is probably the better pick — she'll give you more bud from the same effort. But if there's any chance of prying eyes, Auto Duck earns her keep.
Once she starts flowering and the buds develop, she looks a bit more like a traditional cannabis plant — though still less recognisable than most strains. The low odour helps maintain cover during flower.
How to Grow Auto Duck Cannabis Seeds
- Germination: Soak your Auto Duck seeds in a glass of water for 12–24 hours until they sink, then transfer to damp paper towels in a warm spot (20–25°C). Taproots typically emerge within 2–4 days.
- Plant into final container: Autoflowers don't like transplanting. Plant the germinated seed directly into its final pot — 7–11 litres is a good range. Use a light, airy growing medium with decent drainage. Coco-perlite mixes or a quality light-mix soil both work well.
- Lighting (indoor): Run 18–20 hours of light throughout the entire life cycle. Auto Duck doesn't need a light-cycle change to trigger flowering — she'll do that on her own around week 3–4. A 75-day total cycle from seed to harvest is typical indoors.
- Outdoor placement: Choose a spot that gets at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. A balcony pot, raised bed, or tucked-away garden corner all work. Her leaf shape means she blends in with surrounding plants — stick her between some tomatoes and nobody will bat an eye. Expect 85–90 days from seed to harvest outdoors.
- Feeding: Start light. Autoflowers are smaller plants with lower nutrient demands. Begin with quarter-strength nutrients in week 2 and increase gradually. During flower, lean towards feeds that are lower in nitrogen and richer in phosphorus and potassium to support bud development.
- Odour management: Auto Duck produces less smell than most strains, but she's not odourless. If you're growing indoors and discretion matters, a carbon filter is still a smart move — especially during the last 2–3 weeks of flower when terpene production ramps up.
- Harvest: Check trichomes with a jeweller's loupe or pocket microscope. Mostly cloudy trichomes with a few amber ones signal peak potency. Cut, dry in a dark room at 18–20°C with 55–60% humidity for 7–10 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks.
Complete your stealth setup: If you're growing Auto Duck indoors, a compact grow tent like the Dark Box 80x80 keeps light contained and gives you somewhere to hang a carbon filter. Pair with a basic nutrient kit designed for autoflowers and you're sorted from seed to harvest. For outdoor guerrilla grows, a pocket microscope for trichome checking is the one tool that'll make the biggest difference to your harvest timing.
