Barney's Farm LSD Feminised Cannabis Seeds

Barney's Farm LSD is a feminised Indica-dominant hybrid that produces 24% THC buds in just 60 to 70 days of flowering. A cross between Skunk #1 and Mazar, this strain earned third place in the Indica category at the 2008 High Times Cannabis Cup — and it's been a staple in seed collections ever since. The name comes from the deeply introspective, almost meditative stone it produces: heavy on the body, expansive in the mind.

Go for the 5-pack if you want to select the strongest phenotypes from a slightly larger pool. Three seeds is plenty if you're running a single tent or just want one solid mother plant.

Why LSD Feminised Seeds Deserve a Spot in Your Grow

Some strains demand constant attention — humidity dialled in to the decimal, pH checked twice a day, a stern talking-to every morning. LSD is not one of those strains. Barney's Farm bred this one to be robust, and it shows. High resistance to pests and mould means first-time growers can actually relax a bit, and experienced growers can focus their energy on training and maximising yield rather than fighting off problems.

The real draw, though, is what happens after harvest. The smoke is musky, dense, with an earthy Skunk backbone and a sweet undertone from the Mazar genetics. It's the kind of strain that fills a room when you crack open the jar — your carbon filter earns its keep during flower. The stone hits the body first: heavy, grounding, the sort that pins you to the sofa with a warm weight. Then the mental side opens up. Users consistently describe it as introspective and deeply relaxing, with a character that feels more layered than your average Indica. That's the Mazar influence — it adds depth where Skunk adds power.

One honest note: this strain stretches more than you'd expect from an Indica-dominant plant. If you're growing in a small tent, plan for it. Top early or use LST to keep the canopy manageable. In a larger space, let it go — the stretch fills out nicely and those side branches develop solid colas.

Growing Barney's Farm LSD: What to Expect

LSD performs well indoors and outdoors, which is part of why it's stayed popular for over fifteen years. Indoors, expect a flowering period of 60 to 70 days from the flip to 12/12. The plant develops thick, resinous buds coated in trichomes — sticky enough that trimming becomes a two-pair-of-scissors job. Outdoors in a decent European summer, harvest falls around late September to early October.

The mould resistance is genuine, not just marketing copy. We've seen growers in damp climates run this strain without issues that would have flattened a less sturdy plant. That said, no strain is invincible — good airflow in the canopy still matters, especially during the final weeks when those buds pack on serious density.

  1. Germinate using the paper towel method or directly in a starter plug. LSD seeds tend to pop within 24–72 hours.
  2. Transplant seedlings into their final pots once the first set of true leaves appears. A 15–20 litre pot works well indoors.
  3. Veg for 3–5 weeks depending on your space. Top or FIM early if you need to control height — this strain stretches during the first two weeks of flower.
  4. Flip to 12/12 and watch the stretch. Support branches with stakes or a trellis net from week 3 of flower onwards.
  5. Maintain relative humidity below 50% during late flower. The buds get dense, and even a mould-resistant strain appreciates dry air at this stage.
  6. Harvest when trichomes are mostly milky with around 10–20% amber for the full body stone this strain is known for.
  7. Dry slowly in a dark room at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 7–10 days, then cure in glass jars for at least two weeks. The musky, sweet profile develops properly during cure.

LSD vs Other Indica-Dominant Strains

If you're weighing LSD against other heavy Indicas in the Barney's Farm catalogue, here's how it stacks up. Critical Kush hits similarly hard on the body side but lacks the mental depth — it's more of a straightforward knockout. Pineapple Chunk brings a fruitier terpene profile and slightly lower THC, making it a bit more approachable for daytime use. LSD sits in between: heavy enough to anchor you, interesting enough to keep your mind engaged. For growers specifically after that introspective, layered Indica character, LSD is the better pick. If you just want to sleep, Critical Kush does the job with less ceremony.

Running LSD in a grow tent? Pair these seeds with a complete grow kit including tent, lighting, and ventilation — you'll want a carbon filter from day one of flower, because this strain's musky aroma does not stay quiet. A good grinder with a kief catcher is also worth grabbing for after harvest; those 24% THC trichomes deserve to be collected properly.
