White Choco Cannabis Seeds by Amsterdam Genetics

White Choco is a feminised cannabis seed strain from Amsterdam Genetics that crosses White Russian with the legendary Chocolope to produce a sweet, spicy chocolate flavour profile and a versatile effect ranging from energetic to deeply relaxing. She's one of the most sought-after strains in Amsterdam's coffeeshops — some can't keep her on the shelf. Available in packs of 3, 5, or 10 seeds, White Choco brings coffeeshop-grade genetics to your own grow space with a manageable height and seriously impressive yields.

Feminised Seeds White Russian x Chocolope Flowering: 8-9 Weeks Indoor Yield: Up to 600 g/m2 18+ only

Which Pack Size?

White Choco feminised seeds come in three pack sizes. The 3-seed pack is your best bet for a first run — enough to select a strong phenotype without overcommitting. The 5-pack gives a bit more room to experiment with training techniques or different environments. Go for the 10-pack if you already know you like the genetics and want to fill a tent or run multiple cycles without reordering.

White Choco Genetics and Flavour Profile

The flavour on White Choco is the first thing anyone mentions, and for good reason. She inherits a distinct sweet and spicy chocolate aroma from her Chocolope parent — not a vague "earthy" note you have to imagine, but a genuine cocoa-forward taste with a peppery kick on the exhale. The White Russian side contributes resin production and structural stability, keeping the plant compact enough for indoor grows while the Chocolope genetics push flavour complexity through the roof.

According to research published in PMC, beta-caryophyllene (BCP), a prominent sesquiterpene found in cannabis, exhibits varied therapeutic properties through selective CB2 receptor agonism (PMC12385636). Strains with a spicy, peppery profile — like White Choco — tend to be rich in this terpene, which contributes to the strain's characteristic aroma alongside its potential functional role in the entourage effect.

If you've grown or smoked Chocolope before, White Choco is the more structured, higher-yielding descendant. The White Russian parentage tightens up the plant shape and adds frost, while keeping that chocolate taste front and centre. It's the best Amsterdam Genetics strain for growers who want flavour without sacrificing yield.

Growing White Choco: What to Expect

White Choco feminised seeds produce plants between 1.20m and 1.50m indoors — manageable in most tents from 80x80 upwards. Flowering time sits at 8-9 weeks, which is reasonable for a hybrid with this kind of flavour complexity. Indoor yields reach up to 600 g/m2 under optimised conditions, which puts her in the upper range for Amsterdam Genetics strains.

Outdoors is where she really stretches. Given plenty of direct sun and a warm climate, White Choco can reach 2-3 metres tall and produce 400-500g per plant. That's a serious harvest from a single seed.

White Choco Effect: From Energetic to Relaxing

White Choco's effect profile is dose-dependent, which makes her unusually versatile. At lower amounts, she leans toward an energetic, clear-headed effect — the kind that lets you stay productive or social. At higher amounts, the CBD content in the flower starts to balance the experience, shifting toward a more relaxing, full-body calm. This two-speed character is a big part of why Amsterdam coffeeshops struggle to keep her in stock.

According to research on the endocannabinoid system, the initial effects of cannabis are highly associated with the relaxation component of the ECS response, which modulates both mood and physical tension (PMC8581450). White Choco's blend of cannabinoids and terpenes appears to engage this system across a broad spectrum, depending on how much you consume.

One honest note: the dose-dependent shift means you'll want to dial in your preferred amount rather than just loading up. Start lighter than you think and adjust from there. The energetic side is genuinely enjoyable and easy to overshoot if you're not paying attention.

Why White Choco Stands Out from Other Amsterdam Genetics Strains

Amsterdam Genetics has a deep catalogue, so what makes White Choco worth picking over, say, their Amnesia Haze or AK-020? Three things: flavour, yield, and manageability. The chocolate taste is genuinely distinctive — most strains that claim "sweet" or "chocolate" notes deliver something vague and citrusy. White Choco actually tastes like what it's named after. The 600 g/m2 indoor yield is competitive with anything in the Amsterdam Genetics lineup, and the 1.20-1.50m height means she fits in a standard tent without aggressive training.

The one area where she doesn't lead the pack is raw potency. If you're chasing the strongest possible effect regardless of flavour, strains like their White Choco Haze might edge her out. But for the combination of taste, yield, and a versatile effect, White Choco is hard to beat. We'd pick her over most other chocolate-lineage strains on the market right now.

How to Germinate and Grow White Choco Seeds

  1. Soak your White Choco seeds in a glass of room-temperature water for 12-24 hours until they sink. Seeds that float after 24 hours can be gently tapped to help them absorb water.
  2. Transfer the soaked seeds to damp paper towels placed between two plates. Keep them in a dark, warm spot (20-25°C). Taproots should appear within 1-3 days.
  3. Plant each germinated seed taproot-down in a small pot of light, airy growing medium — about 1cm deep. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
  4. Once seedlings show their first true leaves, transplant to their final container or growing location. White Choco responds well to both soil and hydroponic setups.
  5. Maintain 18 hours of light during vegetative growth. Switch to 12/12 to trigger flowering. Expect 8-9 weeks of flowering before harvest.
  6. For outdoor grows, plant after the last frost in a spot with maximum sun exposure. White Choco can reach 2-3 metres outdoors, so give her space.
  7. Harvest when trichomes shift from clear to milky-white. Harvesting earlier leans toward a more energetic effect; waiting for some amber trichomes produces a more relaxing result.

Growing White Choco indoors? Pair her with a complete grow tent kit — tent, lighting, ventilation, and carbon filter sorted in one go. For outdoor growers, a quality pH meter and organic nutrients will help her reach that 400-500g per plant potential. Amsterdam Genetics seeds also pair well with a reliable seed germination kit if you want to maximise your strike rate from the pack.
