Alien OG Feminized Cannabis Seeds

Alien OG is a 50/50 hybrid strain born from crossing Tahoe OG with Alien Kush — two Californian heavyweights that produce a balanced mix of cerebral intensity and full-body relaxation. These feminized photoperiod seeds yield up to 450g/m² indoors with a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks. The terpene profile leans heavily on myrcene (55%), backed by caryophyllene and limonene, giving you that classic OG aroma: lemon peel, fresh pine, and a spicy diesel undercurrent that fills the room the moment you crack a jar.

50% Indica / 50% Sativa Tahoe OG x Alien Kush Flowering: 8-9 Weeks Up to 450g/m² Indoor Feminized Photoperiod

How Many Seeds Do You Need?

Available in packs of 1, 3, 5, or 10 seeds. Running a single plant to test the genetics? Grab a 1-pack. Setting up a proper canopy with a SOG or SCROG method? The 10-pack gives you enough to select the best phenotypes and fill a 1.2m x 1.2m tent comfortably. For most home growers running 2 to 4 plants, the 3 or 5-pack hits the sweet spot — enough seeds to account for any variation between phenotypes without overcommitting.

What Does Alien OG Smell and Taste Like?

Alien OG's terpene profile is dominated by myrcene at roughly 55%, which is what gives it that earthy, almost herbal baseline. Caryophyllene and limonene each contribute around 15%, layering in spice and citrus. The remaining 15% is a mix of secondary terpenes that round things out.

In practice, the aroma hits you in stages. First, a sharp lemon-pine burst — unmistakably OG Kush territory. Then the earthiness settles in, with a diesel note that lingers on your fingers after handling the buds. On the inhale, the flavour leans sweet and piney. The exhale brings out the spice and a faint fruity sweetness that sits somewhere between candy and ripe citrus. According to research published in PLOS ONE, consumers perceive meaningful differences among cannabis strains, with aroma profiles forming distinct clusters that predict reported effects (Fischedick, 2017). Alien OG's OG Kush lineage places it firmly in the lemon-pine-diesel cluster — one of the most recognisable scent profiles in cannabis.

A word of warning from our side: this strain is loud. If you're growing indoors without a carbon filter, your entire flat will smell like a pine forest crossed with a petrol station by week 6 of flower. Budget for proper ventilation.

Terpene Percentage Aroma Contribution
Myrcene 55% Earthy, herbal, musky
Caryophyllene 15% Spicy, peppery, warm
Limonene 15% Citrus, lemon zest
Other 15% Fruity, diesel, sweet

Alien OG Genetics and Lineage

Alien OG traces its roots to the Californian breeding scene, where someone had the good sense to cross Tahoe OG — one of the most potent OG Kush phenotypes — with Alien Kush. The result is a true 50/50 hybrid that doesn't lean obviously in either direction. You get the heavy, sedative body effects associated with indica genetics alongside the cerebral sharpness that sativa lineage brings.

Tahoe OG contributes the dense bud structure, the resin production, and that signature OG Kush flavour. Alien Kush adds vigour and a slightly more expansive terpene range. Together, they produce a plant that's reasonably compact, frost-covered by mid-flower, and consistent across phenotypes. We've seen customers grow out full 10-packs with remarkably little variation — the genetics are well-stabilised at this point.

According to a study examining consumer perceptions of cannabis strains, sativa-leaning hybrids tend to be associated with more stimulating reported effects, while indica-leaning ones skew sedative and relaxing (Pearce et al., 2018). Alien OG's balanced 50/50 split means you're likely to get elements of both — though individual plant phenotype and growing conditions will influence the final expression.

Complete your grow setup: pair Alien OG seeds with a Dark Box grow tent and a carbon filter — you'll need it with this strain's pungent terpene output. If you're after a contrasting genetics run, White Widow feminized seeds make a solid companion plant with a shorter flowering window and different terpene profile.

Growing Alien OG: What to Expect

Alien OG feminized seeds produce photoperiod plants, meaning you control when flowering starts by switching your light cycle to 12/12. The flowering window runs 8 to 9 weeks, which is fairly standard for an OG Kush cross. Indoor yields top out around 450g/m² — achievable with proper lighting, training, and nutrient management, though 350-400g/m² is more realistic for a first run with this strain.

The plant structure tends toward medium height with dense, resinous buds that stack tightly along the main cola and side branches. OG Kush genetics mean the buds can get heavy enough to need support in the final weeks — bamboo stakes or a trellis net will save you from snapped branches. The calyx-to-leaf ratio is favourable, which makes trimming less tedious than bushier indica-dominant strains.

One honest limitation: Alien OG can be sensitive to humidity in late flower. Those dense buds trap moisture, and if your relative humidity creeps above 50% during weeks 7-9, you're inviting mould. Keep airflow strong and humidity below 45% in the final two weeks. This isn't a strain that tolerates lazy climate control.

  1. Germinate seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a propagation plug — Alien OG seeds typically crack within 48-72 hours.
  2. Transplant seedlings into their final containers once the first true leaves appear. A 15-20 litre pot suits indoor growing well.
  3. Vegetate under 18/6 light for 4-6 weeks. Alien OG responds well to topping and LST (low-stress training) — the branching structure fills out a SCROG net nicely.
  4. Switch to 12/12 light cycle to trigger flowering. Expect visible pistils within 7-10 days of the flip.
  5. Feed a bloom-specific nutrient schedule from week 2 of flower. Alien OG is a moderate feeder — don't push EC above 1.8 unless you're watching the leaves closely.
  6. Support heavy colas from week 6 onward. The resin production gets impressive in the final two weeks — trichome coverage extends well down the sugar leaves.
  7. Flush with plain water for the final 7-10 days before harvest. Check trichomes with a loupe: harvest when roughly 70% are milky with 20-30% amber for the balanced effect this strain delivers best.

Why Alien OG Stands Out in the OG Family

There are dozens of OG Kush crosses on the market, and we've stocked plenty of them over the years. Alien OG earns its shelf space because it combines the best OG traits — resin production, flavour depth, potency — without the finicky growing behaviour that some OG phenotypes are notorious for. Compared to something like SFV OG, which can stretch aggressively in early flower, Alien OG stays more manageable indoors. And unlike some Alien Kush crosses that lean too heavily on the indica side, the Tahoe OG parent keeps things balanced.

The 50/50 hybrid ratio is genuinely felt in the final product. Where a pure indica-leaning OG might glue you to the sofa from the first puff, Alien OG reportedly starts with a heady, focused onset before the body effects build. According to research examining patterns of cannabis strain use, hybrid strains with balanced genetics are frequently selected by users seeking both physical and mental effects simultaneously (Baron et al., 2018). That tracks with what we hear from customers who grow this one — it's a versatile strain, not a one-trick pony.

A typical 0.25g bowl of flower testing around 24% THC contains roughly 60mg of THC, though actual bioavailability varies by consumption method. The point is: Alien OG packs serious potency. If you're newer to strong OG genetics, approach the harvest with respect.
