High Society Cannabis Seeds by Compound Genetics
High Society is a feminised cannabis seed strain from Compound Genetics that crosses Jet Fuel Gelato with Biscotti to produce plants with remarkable phenotypic variation. Every seed is a bit of a lucky dip — some phenos lean nutty and earthy like Biscotti, others swing fruity and fuel-soaked like Jet Fuel Gelato. If you're the kind of grower who geeks out over pheno hunting, this one's built for you.
Pack Sizes
High Society comes in two pack sizes: 5 seeds and 10 seeds. If you're pheno hunting — and with this strain, you really should be — go for the 10-pack. More seeds means more chances of finding that standout phenotype with the exact terpene profile and structure you're after. The 5-pack works fine if you just want a solid grow without the selection process.
Why High Society Seeds Are Worth Growing
Most strains aim for consistency. High Society does the opposite on purpose, and that's exactly what makes it interesting. Compound Genetics bred this cross specifically to throw a wide range of phenotypes — different colours, different terpene concentrations, different growth structures. Two plants from the same pack can look and smell like completely different strains.
We've seen growers post side-by-side photos of High Society plants from the same batch where one is compact and dark with biscuit-like aromas, and the next is stretchy, bright green, and reeking of fuel and tropical fruit. That kind of variation would be a problem in a commercial monocrop, but for home growers and breeders, it's a playground. You can select your favourite pheno, clone it, and build an entire garden around a unique expression that nobody else has.
The honest limitation? That same variability means you can't predict exactly what you'll get. If you want a guaranteed uniform canopy with zero surprises, something more stabilised like Biscotti S1 or a proven Gelato cut would be a safer bet. But if the hunt is half the fun for you, High Society delivers that in spades.
High Society Genetics and Terpene Profile
The parent genetics tell you a lot about what to expect in the jar. Jet Fuel Gelato brings a loud, gassy sweetness — think overripe stone fruit with a petrol back-end that coats your palate. Biscotti contributes a denser, more grounded profile: nutty, earthy, with a subtle cookie-dough sweetness that lingers. High Society phenos tend to express one parent more strongly than the other, though some land right in the middle with a complex layered aroma that's genuinely hard to put down.
When you crack open a cured bud from a fuel-dominant pheno, the smell hits you before the jar's fully open — sharp, sweet, unmistakably loud. The Biscotti-leaning phenos are more subtle until you grind them up, at which point that warm, toasted nuttiness fills the room. Both expressions produce dense, crystalline buds coated in trichomes. The resin production across all phenos tends to be consistently heavy, which is one trait Compound Genetics clearly locked down regardless of the phenotypic variation elsewhere.

Growing High Society Seeds: What to Expect
Compound Genetics recommends growing High Society indoors or in a greenhouse, and we'd echo that. The phenotypic variation means your canopy won't be uniform, so having control over light height, training, and environment lets you manage the differences between plants rather than fighting them.
- Germinate your High Society seeds using your preferred method — paper towel, jiffy pellets, or direct into substrate. Feminised seeds mean every viable plant will flower, so no need to sex them later.
- Veg for roughly 3 weeks before flipping to 12/12. This is critical with High Society because some phenos barely stretch at all during flowering, while others can easily double in height. A shorter veg keeps the tall phenos manageable without sacrificing yield on the compact ones.
- During the first 2 weeks of flower, identify which phenos are stretching and which aren't. Use low-stress training or trellis netting to keep the canopy even. The compact phenos may need to be raised on platforms to stay in the light sweet spot.
- Monitor terpene development from week 5 onwards. You'll start to notice which parent each plant leans toward — the fuel-and-fruit phenos tend to get loud earlier, while the Biscotti-leaning plants develop their nuttiness closer to harvest.
- Harvest after approximately 9 weeks of flowering. Buds should be dense, heavily frosted, and aromatic. Dry slowly in a dark room at 15-18°C with 55-60% humidity for 10-14 days, then cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks to let the terpene profile fully develop.
One thing to watch out for: the height variation can create light distribution problems if you're running a flat canopy setup. A SCROG net helps enormously here, letting you tuck the tall phenos and expose the lower sites on compact plants. Without it, you'll end up with some plants too close to the light and others shaded out.
High Society Compared to Similar Strains
If you're weighing up High Society against other Compound Genetics offerings or similar crosses, here's how they stack up:
| Trait | High Society | Biscotti (typical cut) | Jet Fuel Gelato |
|---|---|---|---|
| Genetics | Jet Fuel Gelato x Biscotti | Gelato #25 x South Florida OG | G6 (Jet Fuel) x Gelato #45 |
| Phenotypic Variation | Very high — distinct phenos | Moderate — mostly consistent | Moderate |
| Flowering Time | ~9 weeks | ~8-9 weeks | ~8-9 weeks |
| Dominant Aromas | Varies: nutty/earthy or fruity/fuel | Nutty, cookie, earthy | Fuel, citrus, sweet |
| Stretch | Unpredictable — minimal to 2x | Low to moderate | Moderate |
| Best For | Pheno hunters, experimental growers | Growers wanting consistency | Flavour chasers |
High Society sits in a unique spot. It's not the strain you grow when you want 6 identical plants filling a tent uniformly. It's the strain you grow when you want to find something special — a keeper pheno that combines traits from both parents in a way that's yours alone. That's the trade-off, and for the right grower, it's absolutely worth it.
Running High Society indoors? A grow tent with good light control makes managing those variable phenos much easier. Pair your seeds with a complete grow kit — tent, lighting, and ventilation sorted in one go — so you can focus on the fun part: hunting through phenotypes. A jeweller's loupe or pocket microscope is also worth grabbing for checking trichome ripeness across your different phenos, since they won't all mature at exactly the same rate.
