Erdpurt Feminised Cannabis Seeds by ACE Seeds
Erdpurt is a 100% indica cannabis seed strain bred specifically for outdoor growers in northern Europe who need a plant that finishes before autumn weather turns ugly. ACE Seeds crossed Erdbeer — the original Swiss Strawberry clone — with Purpurea Ticinensis, a Swiss mountain landrace stabilised over 8 years at 1,330 metres above sea level. The result is a compact, mould-resistant plant that wraps up flowering in 7–8 weeks and reaches full maturity by late August to early September. If your growing season is short and your climate is unforgiving, Erdpurt was made for exactly that.
Which Pack Size?
Erdpurt feminised seeds come in two pack sizes: 3 seeds and 5 seeds. If you're testing the strain for the first time in your climate, the 3-pack gives you enough to evaluate performance without overcommitting. Go for the 5-pack if you already know your outdoor setup and want a fuller canopy — or if you want to select the best phenotype from a slightly larger sample.

Running Erdpurt outdoors in a small garden or balcony? A fabric pot with good drainage keeps the compact root system aerated in cold, damp soil. Pair with a pH testing kit to dial in your water — Swiss genetics or not, pH drift still causes lockout.
Why Erdpurt Feminised Seeds Belong in Your Northern Grow
Here's the problem with most indica strains marketed as "outdoor-friendly": they finish in October. In Scotland, Denmark, northern Germany, or the Netherlands, October means relentless rain, dropping temperatures, and botrytis eating your buds from the inside out. You've spent months nursing a plant only to watch it rot on the stem two weeks before harvest. We've heard that story more times than we can count.
Erdpurt sidesteps the entire issue. A flowering time of 7–8 weeks and a harvest window of late August to early September means your buds are dried and cured while other growers are still praying for one more sunny week. Purpurea Ticinensis was stabilised at 1,330m altitude in the Swiss mountains — that's not a marketing line, that's 8 years of selection pressure against cold, wind, rain, and fungal pathogens. That resilience carries over directly into Erdpurt. ACE Seeds reports the plant can handle strong winds, persistent rain, low temperatures, and even a few days of frost without collapsing.
The plant itself is almost comically compact. Nearly zero branching — it grows as a single dense cola covered in resin. The multi-coloured leaves and stems (purples, greens, sometimes near-black) make it one of the more visually striking plants you'll grow outdoors. It's also a genuinely interesting breeding plant if you're developing outdoor hybrids: 100% indica genetics with strong CBD potential and excellent cold adaptability make it a useful parent for fast-flowering crosses.
Erdpurt Flavour and Effects — The Honest Take
On the nose and palate, Erdpurt delivers a blend of freshly roasted coffee and hash, layered with hints of strawberry and blackberry over an earthy base. It's complex for a compact mountain indica — the Erdbeer parentage brings that fruit sweetness, while Purpurea Ticinensis contributes the deeper, earthier tones. Dried and cured properly, the coffee-hash character really comes through. Spice, earth, and berry are the dominant terpene notes.
Now, the honest limitation. THC levels tested between 8–12%. That's low by modern standards — no way around it. The Purpurea Ticinensis parent simply isn't a high-THC line, and that genetic ceiling carries into Erdpurt. You'll feel it, but this isn't a one-hit-and-done strain. Think of it more as a functional, mellow indica — good for an evening wind-down, good for relaxing without being pinned to the sofa. If you're chasing 25%+ THC monsters, Erdpurt isn't your strain. But if you want something that actually survives your climate and produces resinous, flavourful buds you can reliably harvest every single year, the trade-off makes sense.
Compared to something like ACE Seeds' Pakistan Chitral Kush (PCK), Erdpurt finishes earlier and handles cold better, though PCK typically delivers higher THC. If your latitude is above 50°N, Erdpurt is the safer bet by a wide margin.
How to Grow Erdpurt Feminised Seeds Outdoors
- Germinate your Erdpurt feminised seeds indoors in late April to mid-May, depending on your latitude. A damp paper towel method or direct sow into a small pot of light seed-starting mix both work. Soil temperature should be at least 18°C for reliable germination.
- Transplant seedlings outdoors once nighttime temperatures consistently stay above 8–10°C. Erdpurt handles cold better than most strains, but young seedlings still need some warmth to establish roots. A sheltered, south-facing spot is ideal.
- Use well-draining soil — Erdpurt's mould resistance is excellent, but waterlogged roots will still cause problems. If your garden soil is heavy clay, mix in perlite or grow in raised beds or fabric pots.
- Feed lightly. This is a compact plant with minimal branching, so it doesn't need heavy nitrogen in veg. Switch to a bloom-focused feed when you see the first pistils, typically by mid to late June at northern latitudes.
- Monitor for pests but don't panic about mould — Erdpurt's Purpurea Ticinensis genetics give it outstanding resistance to botrytis and powdery mildew. Even in wet summers, this strain holds up where others fail.
- Harvest when trichomes are mostly milky with some amber, typically late August to early September. The compact, single-cola structure makes harvest straightforward — one clean cut per plant.
- Dry in a dark, ventilated space at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 7–10 days. Cure in glass jars for at least 2 weeks. The coffee and hash notes develop significantly during a proper cure.
