Critical+ 2.0 Feminised Cannabis Seeds by Silent Seeds
Critical+ 2.0 is a sativa-dominant feminised cannabis strain that delivers massive yields — up to 700g/m² indoors — with a flowering time of just 50 days. Silent Seeds built this one by crossing the original Critical+ with a moisture-resistant phenotype, creating a version that actually thrives in damp, temperamental climates where most strains would rot on the stem. If you grow outdoors in northern Europe and you're tired of losing buds to mould in late September, this is the seed to reach for.
Pack Sizes
| Pack | Seeds | SKU |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 3 feminised seeds | CSDI0116 |
| Standard | 5 feminised seeds | CSDI0097 |
| Grower's pack | 10 feminised seeds | CSDI0098 |
If you're running a single tent and want to test the genetics first, the 3-pack does the job. The 10-pack makes sense for ScrOG setups or outdoor plots where you want to fill out the space properly — and the per-seed cost drops noticeably.
Why Critical+ 2.0 Seeds Belong in Your Grow
The original Critical+ earned its reputation on raw output — fat, dense buds stacked on every branch. The problem? Grow it in a Dutch autumn or a British summer and you'd watch those same dense buds turn into mould magnets the moment humidity crept above 60%. Silent Seeds addressed this head-on by crossing the original with a phenotype selected specifically for moisture resistance. The result is Critical+ 2.0: same absurd yields, same short flowering window, but with the structural resilience to survive real-world outdoor conditions in temperate climates.
We've seen growers in the Netherlands and northern France pull well over a kilogram per plant outdoors with this strain. That's not marketing fluff — the genetics genuinely push out huge elongated flower clusters that keep stacking weight right up until harvest in late September. Indoors, 700g/m² is a realistic target with a proper ScrOG setup, and some experienced growers push past that. For a 50-day flowering period, those numbers are borderline ridiculous.
The honest limitation? This plant grows tall. Properly lanky. If you're working a 1.2m tent with limited headroom, you need to top early and train aggressively, or she'll outgrow the space before you flip to flower. ScrOG is the best setup for Critical+ 2.0 indoors — it controls the stretch and exposes more bud sites to light, which is exactly how you hit those 700g/m² figures. Without training, you'll get a tall Christmas tree with most of the weight at the top and airy larf below.
Aroma, Flavour, and What to Expect from Critical+ 2.0
The smell on this one is intense — and we mean genuinely fill-your-house intense. Sharp lemon up front, backed by pine resin and a warm spice note that gets stronger as the buds mature. If you're growing indoors, check your carbon filters before the plants hit week five of flower. We've heard from customers who thought their ventilation was sorted, only to find the whole stairwell reeking of citrus and pine by week six. Double up on carbon filtration if you're in a flat or terraced house. This is not a subtle strain.
At 20% THC, the end product hits hard. The effect is long-lasting and uplifting — the kind of smoke you'd bring to a gathering with mates rather than a solo evening on the sofa. According to a systematic review published in PMC, THC has documented therapeutic effects including analgesia and appetite stimulation (PMC12549548). Separately, preclinical research has observed neuroprotective properties of THC, with reduced cell death response after induction with oxidative toxins (PMC11508795). These are research observations, not product claims — but they give context to why high-THC strains like Critical+ 2.0 remain popular.

How to Grow Critical+ 2.0 Seeds
- Germinate your Critical+ 2.0 seeds using the paper towel method or directly in a small pot of moist, light soil. Taproots typically emerge within 24–72 hours.
- Transplant seedlings into their final containers once the first set of true leaves appears. For ScrOG setups, 11–15 litre pots work well. Outdoors, go bigger — 25 litres or directly into the ground if your soil is decent.
- Top the plant early — around the 4th or 5th node — to control height and encourage lateral branching. Critical+ 2.0 stretches considerably, so don't skip this step if you're growing indoors.
- For ScrOG, weave branches through the screen during the vegetative phase until roughly 70% of the net is filled, then flip to 12/12 light cycle. The stretch during early flower will fill the remaining gaps.
- Monitor humidity closely during flowering. Despite the improved moisture resistance, keeping relative humidity below 50% during weeks 5–7 protects those dense, heavy buds from any risk of bud rot.
- Ensure your carbon filter and extraction fan are rated for your tent volume — and ideally oversized. The terpene output from Critical+ 2.0 is exceptionally strong from mid-flower onward.
- Harvest at approximately day 50 indoors, or by the end of September outdoors. Check trichomes with a loupe — you're looking for mostly milky with a few amber heads for the uplifting effect this strain is known for.
- Dry in a dark, well-ventilated space at 18–20°C and 55–60% humidity for 7–10 days, then cure in glass jars for at least two weeks. The lemon-pine aroma deepens significantly during the cure.
Running a ScrOG setup? Pair these seeds with a complete grow tent kit that includes carbon filtration — you'll need it for this strain. A quality hygrometer is also worth grabbing to keep humidity dialled in during late flower, especially if you're growing in a room without climate control.
